Apple Maps has updated its "2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World" guide with a dedicated experience for the Miami F1 Gran Prix, which takes place on May 3 and will be streamed exclusively on Apple TV in the United States.

The guide offers an immersive way to explore F1 circuits. It began with Albert Park in Australia, with more 3D circuit experiences to be added as the season progresses.

The Miami experience adds detailed features at key locations in Miami International Autodrome circuit. As spotted by 9to5Mac, there are 3D landmarks for things like grandstands, The Marina, the Pit Building, the Finish Line, and more. The area also includes technical information about the circuit, along with local gates, race entrances, bridges, restrooms, and water stations.

There are also some guides for fans attending the race, such as "A Local's Guide to Miami F1 Race Week" for dining and shopping recommendations, and "Hyperlocal F1 Miami Race Week Spots," for identifying prime viewing locations close to the track.

The 2026 F1 season kicked off in Australia on March 8. Last October, Apple and Formula 1 announced a five-year partnership including exclusive streaming rights in the U.S. The partnership allows ‌Apple TV‌ to provide comprehensive coverage of Formula 1, including all practice, qualifying, Sprint sessions, and Grands Prix.

Will the F1 cars be shown to move around the map in real time on race days, to allow anyone with an iPhone to open Maps and peek at a graphical simulation of the cars moving around the track? I don't watch F1, but that would be cool.

I’m hoping Apple works with Lapz on their AVP app.

I think this would actually be a very helpful thing for them to do across the F1 grid for all their tracks. As someone who went to Monza two years ago the track map from the Monza app was almost useless and I walked around and looked like a tourist worse than I already was. I know a lot of people will view this as a waste of resources, but a good bit of North Americans travel to the European tracks because even after travel and accommodations it is still somewhat cheaper than trying to go to a N.A. track weekend.

I’m hopeful that Apple will get streaming rights to MotoGP in the near future being Liberty Media owns both F1 and MotoGP.

Then they could negotiate in 2030 (WBD contract ends) for the rights of all WEC races including the 24 hrs of Le Mans.

Bringing all three together to one streamer will bring so many more eyeballs to Apple TV.

This is great. One request: Apple, please stop putting race results (a.k.a. spoilers) in the thumbnail description for races. I don't really want to watch it after reading "see Kimi Antonelli win!"
And don’t be sticking it out on Apple News alerts rapidly after the event given all the different time zones. That caught me out with the last race as my watch spoiled it before I had watched it.

Wouldn't call "the Marina" at the Miami circuit a landmark. It's a lowlight for the FOM and FIA to allow this kind of fake decoration for people with too much money at what's basically a carpark sitting next to a stadium.

Which reminds me, SFO is their "home" airport but it still doesn't have the detailed directory listings in Apple Maps despite getting the 3D buildings

These are just gimmicks. Can they please work on improving their reviews and user-generated content offerings? The only reason I use Google Maps now is because it's the gold standard for reviews and helps me pick anything from restaurants to mechanics.

"Formula 1 is experiencing massive global success, with 2025 revenue reaching a record $3.87 billion, driven by surging viewership and digital growth. On-track success is dominated by Max Verstappen and Red Bull, with Ferrari holding the record for most Grand Prix wins (248). Key drivers include rising viewership, high-value teams (Ferrari $7.35B), and increased safety."

Its crazy how people immediately hate on something they may not know much about. F1 is HUGE! It is doing way better, based upon my understanding, than LIV Golf lol. If Apple had partnered with LIV or done some sort of special maps for the courses, etc. everyone would be ripping them.
