And if when you click on the restaurant's name, you get a Yelp! description, as you do now, that's a great feature.

I hate the Yelp tie-in. If I want more details or to read reviews, look at photos, etc, it wants me to install the Yelp app (yet another app). Very un-Apple like. Google's built in reviews are a better experience.

How about offline maps? That would be an awesome feature for Apple to implement into Maps. Maybe they will in the future.....
This is seriously needed, after having recently driving to parts of Colorado and New Mexico I can tell you this feature would have been great. If you change your route your screwed with Apple Maps

That all sound awesome, but I really want the biking directions that Google Maps has. I prefer Apple Maps so it syncs with the watch, but it does make a noticeable difference to having biking-specific directions. I sure hope Apple adds that at some point.

Show us a detailed comparison of such bike routes. Right now I have no idea what you’re talking about.

I’ve been using Apple maps since pretty much the beginning. Prior to that I used I believe a Magellan app. Early on it was spotty, but it worked. We used it in Ireland a couple of years ago and it was pretty good. Used it in the Netherlands about a month ago and it was perfect. This is only going to get better.

People always want to trash apple maps and they likely haven’t used it recently. I remember a time when mapquest was the go to and google had people driving in circles.

I too have been Apple Maps since the beginning. It’s been bad for use here I. Toronto the first 2 yrs yet has vastly improved since the update for mall maps.

There’s been a LOT of hate on these boards, even to the point at pointing to Forstall when he first introduced it. Funny as time goes on his vision still prevails for various reasons and it’s drill been improved. Going through third party for accurate data was not his nor Apple’s fault but their source of data. The original Ui needed improvements and finally we’re starting to really see that.

Backpack maps camera personal is showing in this upcoming update. Can’t wait!!

Prior to this I used Gmaps with suspicion always for a very limited time. Wayz was downloaded last month and deleted before even trying an address mix mash of garbage of a UI that is and now google is trying to combine that with their Gmaps. No thanks! Downloaded and deleted in 3mins flat!

Prior to iOS I used Navi that Nokia S60 had and that was the big kahuna! Still had breadcrumbs feature that is lacking in all modern day maps and that was over 12yrs ago!
