At least they are consistent - that way you learn how to correctly pronounce it, so Siri can understand you
I actually do suffer from this (I might have missed some quotes in my post).Nope, i see you never used, that’s exactly what i mean.
Siri(English) does not understand correctly pronounced Italian or Portuguese words, or in this case roads. While Hey Google fully understands correctly pronounced multi language, and even auto replies with the same language you started to speak/ask.
Yeah I missed your quotes, edited my postI actually do suffer from this (I might have missed some quotes in my post).
Just assumed, that if you feed back Apple Map’s crap into Siri, it will understand.
Yeah, how bloody hard can it be to add one of the most basic features of any navigation system. One more important wish for me would be routing with intermediate stops.
Siri isn’t the best translating Australian either. Here it’s the multi language support, which Apple Maps poorly supports.
Ever listened to a Englisch, German configured Siri trying to speak out an Italian, French, Portuguese address or road names?
Try this out, if you want to laugh a bit…
Ambitious and impatient. I like that. This is cool! Another item I can add to my list of Maps features that will be available in my country in 2035.
I think they are testing their own rating system in Spain and Portugal. I have the ability to rate businesses natively in Madrid, Spain.Do you still have to open Yelp to read details on any business of interest?
This is the only reason I have Google Maps installed on my phone.Do you still have to open Yelp to read details on any business of interest?
HAHAHA, sorry if I'm laughing but being from the boot myself, that's the most authentically Italian thing I ever heardIf they get the basics right - in 2013 it was proposing some suicidal routes in Italy - luckily we survived
Well e.g. it brought us on a small road up in a mountain which led into a walkable path - Apple then wanted us to make a 270° degree turn down into something that looked like a slope for ski jumping.HAHAHA, sorry if I'm laughing but being from the boot myself, that's the most authentically Italian thing I ever heard
Most of our roads are absolutely horrific.
Apple maps, ski modeWell e.g. it brought us on a small road up in a mountain which led into a walkable path - Apple then wanted us to make a 270° degree turn down into something that looked like a slope for ski jumping.
We put in the reverse, switched back to Google Maps and survived![]()
I think they just try to keep it simple , which may is better for most users , Maps is a very good navigation app not a routing app , plus there are many route apps on the App Store , lots of them doing a good job for more demanding users. This pattern appears in all native iOS apps , they are simple but efficient , Apple could easily add a ton of features in theirs apps , but I think they would not benefit from it (more complexity for simple users, less usage of AppStore apps)3 words.
ADD A STOP.
Did they add the ability to input multiple destinations along a route?? It's so crazy to me that Apple Maps has avoided adding this feature for so long.
This already exists.3 words.

Yeah I was really confused too cause I use this feature all the timeUmm… this has been a feature on Apple Maps transit for years at this point, with the exact same UI and features. This is just getting ported to driving directions. The writers really need to do better research about these features before writing about it.
