I don’t understand....

You say that customers don’t even need a month to realize they don’t need/want the subscription... but if they use it for 3 months they’ll realize they really do need/want it, get addicted, and can’t stop?....

Research has shown that it takes a set amount of weeks for humans to make it a habit, anything less and we either loose interest and move onto something else.

Most software trials are 14 days. Why the hell should one need NINETY days to evaluate anything?

It is to create a habit, after weeks of usage it becomes something to be dependant on, this is humans.

It’s got nothing to do with brexit, just pure good old inflation. What’s with all this moaning? Don’t like the prices don’t buy it, don’t like brexit move abroad. Simples.

Moan, moan, moan

This is the wrong attitude to suggest, if you don’t like something look into changing it. Doing the utter opposite and running away from the issues does not resolve or change the problem. Considering many feel the same petition the matter, create a party, movement, campaign, etc.

I always believed software trails should be raised to 30 days, considering people have lives to live and software can be complex to utilize to its fullest in 14 days. Even when a student is introduced to new software as part of their course, it is expected to learn new components and methods after the testing has concluded.

Are you retarded or something? Moaning about it getting cancelled when you chose to cancel. Yet you still want to keep listening even after you decided to cancel... lol
Get a job.

So, a bit like Brexit then?

Edit: I see someone else has mentioned this before, enraging the waq.

It’s a dumb greedy move IMO. The longer a trial lasts the less likely customers are going to cancel that service. People get used to things very quickly. Especially things that are convenient.

"Dumb?" Assuming this is in the works, do you really think that Apple hasn't carefully studied the years of data they have from marketing research and consumer surveys, and the behavior of tens of millions of people who have used the free trial to arrive at the decision.

Financially, it's a math problem that Apple has undoubtedly studied extensively--Is the cost of the extra two months of a free trial, which is both foregone subscription income and payments to artists, outweighed by an increase in paid subscriptions? If Apple is switching to one month, undoubtedly their data shows that it doesn't. I'd hazard a guess that your speculation that three months ingrains a habit that changes consumer behavior versus one month of listening, isn't supported by the data, or that "greedy" Apple wouldn't do something against their own financial interests.

Moreover, if your theory is correct that the longer a trial lasts, the less likely a consumer is going to cancel that service, then businesses would all offer far longer free trials. They'd offer six months, nine months, a year, because they would be getting people "hooked" for the long term and more than make their money back. I'll be the research shows that one month is about the cross over point where costs exceeds returns. That's why they chose a month for the Apple News Plus. It's why Spotify offers a free month, etc.

I think it would be grant if Apple offered free Apple Music to users for a week every 6 month after the initial 1 month trial, doesn’t even need to be 3 months. I want to sign up for Apple Music, but the discovery is just not there. I’m constantly evaluating Apple Music for that specifically.

It only took me 10 days to write off Amazon Music Unlimited. They gave me 3 months as well with Kindle Oasis 3 purchase.
