Heh, quite.

Crud 1 should be the name of their junk radio station.

Have you not found anything of note to listen to from Zane's broadcast, or even Julie Adenuga's? I ask because Julie, of course, is based in London as you apparently are, and plays mostly British music from what I've heard. Honest question.

Getting tired of listening to rap/hiphop on Beats One. Feels like the Beats execs have too much say on what is getting played and what will get produced. Would love Apple Music (and not only the "curated" playlists) to be more inclusive of all music genres.
Interesting because I was out in the yard with my sister yesterday and overtime we put it on it was some indie rock... Neither of us are into.

Um, no. I don't need to "suck up" anything. It's the people I referred to that clearly need to suck it up. It's one thing, as you say, for someone to disagree with content direction. It's another entirely to decry an entire genre of music -- or simply anything you don't particularly care for, for whatever reason, as was clearly the case with "Freedom" above -- and say "THIS IS NO LONGER MY APPLE!" and that said music is "TRASH." I don't have any interest in calling you racist or even asking you to get over yourself. It's perfectly fine that you express that you dislike the direction Tim has taken. If you feel like Apple is ignoring their core business and you want to investigate Android options... cool, and I mean that. You're expressing your opinion in a respectful manner, and I respect that. However, the people I quoted above are NOT being respectful.

It isn't respectful to completely cast aside an entire genre of music and the individuals behind it and refer to ALL of it... not just individual songs, but all of it, and the artists behind it... as garbage and somehow "against" the culture of an entire company. That's ridiculous and embarrassing. If you can't see the difference behind your very rational concerns over Apple above and what those people wrote, I can't help you. You're making the case that you're concerned that Apple may be spreading itself too thin, and that perhaps Google is doing a better job in the tech sector right now. On the flip side, the people I called out above are making the case that Apple is no longer Apple because they've shown the slightest affinity for hip-hop music and the artists behind it, but that if they had only given more attention to non-hip-hop artists, oh okay, it's "our Apple" again. (Quotes used for emphasis in this case, and not to reflect that that was an exact phrase used previously.)

It's all very clear. Go back and read their posts again, please.
Again. Let me teach you how to quote. Just press quote under someone's post. You don't know me...you're assuming certain people like me are from white burb. Son, you're crazy. don't know who i am. On a real though...it appears that you're racist. I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU"VE BEEN REFERRING TO ME. QUIT YOUR HIDE AND SEEK GAME. Just quote. It sounds like you're defending beats to the last breath. If you only knew the history of Apple..you would of understand why certain people would be feeling certain.

I know how to use the quote button function and have done so for numerous people above. However, when referring to multiple people with one statement, I don't always multi-quote all of them within my post, because that would only make my post exceptionally long.

Hide and seek game? I have specifically used your name in a post previously; I just didn't use the quote button. I have no idea why you think I'm dodging you. And no, I'm not defending Beats as a whole to my last breath. They can do some things better, and I'm cool with people expressing that or even saying they don't care for the service overall. That's a valid opinion. I do, however, intellectually challenge people who make bizarre sweeping statements about things, and that's what I've been doing.

I know a decent amount concerning the history of Apple. Since you mentioned it, I'll ask: What am I missing about the history of Apple that specifically correlates to the argument at hand? Perhaps you can elucidate.

EDIT: Also, again, I have no idea why you're "teaching me how to quote" when the very message of mine that you quoted above included a message from another poster that I quoted using the quote button.

yeah...after reading all those posts.
I didn't see it before.
Anyway...what i'm saying is that you don't understand the core concept of apple. You're just assuming that i'm slamming on apple because of the way they are going in business sense. You mentioned that I said.."that's so not like apple." APPARENTLY IT"S TRUE. You say that I hate apple. Son, you're totally wrong about me and misunderstood why reasons for it. Apple was about software OS X...yes..itune existed with it...still rather than focusing on what established APPLE...they branched out too thin for iWATCH, Beats, lawsuits, and etc. OS X was originally about OS...not fashion statement. They're products look great...slick...but at the end of day...what made them was a computer which was easy to use and was very effective in productivity.

Although I don't have a particular beef with the Apple Watch, I can understand that you feel that it represents spreading Apple too thin. But Apple Music? It's just a streaming music addition to the core iTunes experience, which is necessary for their music business, which of course has been around for over a decade now. If they didn't make a move into streaming, it would be business negligence, essentially.

Are you saying that the iPod/iTunes was also an example of spreading Apple too thin? If you're not, then I don't see your problem with the Beats streaming integration, as it was entirely necessary to keeping iTunes fully relevant in today's tech climate, and does not represent a wholly new venture for the company, as it is merely a modernization of their music business.

It's not just beats...but it's other things that i mentioned. ex:iWATCH, lawsuits, and etc....what i'm trying to say is they need to back to basic core foundation.

Pharrell's music video was also VERY impressive to me. Drake's didn't seem nearly as costly but one thing they ALL seem to have in common is that you can tell the artists heart and own creativity are in each one. Because of that, I've GREATLY enjoyed each one... Way more so than other music videos released and produced in the usual manner.

Pharrell's video Freedom is now free for all and no longer an exclusive. You found THAT very impressive? You won't even remember that song, well, tomorrow.

Well I think Rogifan has a point. What exclusive content that isn't a form of hip-hop/rap has Apple produced so far? (I might have missed something, and I'd like to know what, as the new Dr Dre album awakens the same excitement in me as a dentist visit.)

You may not like it or be excited about a new Dr. Dre album but millions and millions ARE excited about it. Just because you don't like something doesn't mean lots of others don't as well.

The original post was "So when are they going to start showing love to something else? There is music besides hip-hop and rap."

The response was "They show love to plenty of genres. You can't be serious."

My question was "What exclusive content that isn't a form of hip-hop/rap has Apple produced so far?"

Your answer has nothing to do with my question, unless Dr Dre's album is guitar folk.
