Apple should kill off the Mac Mini line.
There is not going to be an M2 iMac. They are going straight to M3.Couldn't it just as well be the M2 iMac finally making an appearance?
Yea it needs a redesign, the case is like 75% air. They can make the mini, well MINI but won’t.Last time they redesigned this machine, the original iPad was 4 months old.
People come to a rumour site and complain when the rumour site posts rumours.
Thought the space was needed for the mini Pro's fan: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/m2-pro-mac-mini-teardown-via-macstadium.2378200/Yea it needs a redesign, the case is like 75% air. They can make the mini, well MINI but won’t.
Expect to be underwhelmed… 😉I am a bit disappointed that core counts seem to have stagnated. That is leaving a lot of work to be done by process improvements and architecture changes.
Worst case is that Apple basically shrinks M2, overclocks it a bit, and makes extra profit by cramming more M3 chips for every wafer than it could for M2.
My M2 Pro Mac Mini kicks ass! 😉My M1 Mac mini is an incredible computer.
You forgot the 8GB of memory and 256GB storage. Here's the scoop on the specs!
- M3
Because the Minis currently start at $599 and the Studios start at $1999? Different market niches.Apple should kill off the Mac Mini line. The older M model studios are perfect replacement. Why have a M3 mini that Apple will surely limit in order for it not to out shine the Mac Studio line.
Apple will release M4 without even testing it oncePlease don't take this the wrong way - but colour me NOT surprised... I'd be more surprised if Apple weren't testing their M3 CPUs in products at this point.
