Was priced too high, hot as a toaster. I liked mine a lot, it ran well in the ultra portable role, got the job done. It's battery failed and as per Apple, e-waste nonsense  There are zero reasons why Apple cant provide new batteries for these perfectly serviceable machines outside of their sheer greed to force more sales, but that's always been Apple's way...

The rMB remains to be adequate for basic productivity tasks. If I could buy a M1 model, I do so in a heartbeat, sadly that's not how Apple rolls.

Q-6
I have gone about a month with my new battery replacement from Apple for my MacBook 2015. Runs really good. Glad I spent the money on it. The battery replacement fixed a few issues with it also. I was a little hesitant about spending the money on it...but...I really like it. Plus, I did it a week before the price increase.

I think "if" Apple ever decides to put out a small version again, it would be at least another year or so before we would see one. Like mentioned before...EVEN if it is just an M1, I think it would be something to consider JUST for the portability alone; besides, an M1 in one of these would not be a slouch at all.

Some have said that the MacBook Air is fine enough for travel, including the air plane trays, but I was on a train some time ago and the MacBook 2015 was perfect for the pull-down shelf/tray. Yes, the current MacBook Air probably would be ok, but an M-series in a new MacBook with this form type factor....
