Not sure this is fixed yet. My Hue lights were working fine in Home app and with Siri and then last night they all became unresponsive and remain so today. They work fine in Hue app but when I try to re-establish cinnection between Hue app and Home (including unplugging Hue Bridge as instructed in Hue app then pressing button on Hue bridge).

Anyone else having this problem?

BTW, I changed my WiFi router to an Eeros 6 setup earlier in the day yesterday but the lights had been working fine afterward—at least for a while.

Any advice before I take down the entire Hue setup and try again from scratch?

Here comes Russia.
When in doubt, blame Russia, China , Iran, N Korea…👎.

Yep, started on Monday for me heading to the Apple store. Apple Maps gave the attached error message. And low behold the Apple store was shut down also temporarily at the time.

I'm still having iMessage trouble

Wow 2 days in a row. Does Apple ever provide root cause analysis on what caused these outages?
No. They just wing it.

Of course they analyse what’s going on.

Don’t be surprised if Russia is behind this. They’re pissed.

OK. This turned out to be a red herring. Before tearing down my whole Hue setup, I spoke with tech support at my ISP about the Eeros 6 router we installed earlier in the day. He had not been aware at the time that you need to specifically add the Eeros (in my case two Eeros--a Main Access Point and a Satellite) to HomeKit. When we did this, my Hue lights connected properly and all is well.

Previous routers (AirTies) did not require installation in HomeKit to function with HomeKit accessories. And there was no problem with Thread devices.

What remains a mystery (and probably always will) is why the Hue lights worked fine with the Home app and with Siri for hours following the switch from the AirTies to the Eeros but then just stopped working. (WiFi is voodoo. I'm convinced of that!)

What a bummer. I was in the process of evaluating Apple Music streaming services but after these outages I just decided to cancel as I'll just stick with my purchased recordings and physical media instead. This seems to be more reliable than the streaming service anyhow. Instead or paying for the service per se I can simply just purchase a new album once a month for approx the same price as the monthly service/cloud fee. I can download onto my device and backup to an external micro SD when necessary for backup purposes or if I don't have enough storage at least for now with the lightening connector.

I'm uncertain if one can download a local copy of apple maps onto an iphone as I've never looked into it, but I'm am aware that you can with google maps or perhaps there are other GPS apps where one doesn't have to rely on internet services or the cloud to work. +1 for google here (as much as I dislike using them). The next time I upgrade my iPhone I'll be looking for the one with the most local storage offered keeping in mind these outages.

Apple's services and apps appear to be experiencing yet another outage, with complaints on Twitter about problems with Apple Maps, the App Store, Apple Music, Weather, Podcasts, the Apple online store, and more.

The System Status page is displaying outages for the App Store, Apple Music, Apple Books, the Mac App Store, and Podcasts at the current time, as well as issues with Weather, Apple Card, and iCloud Web Apps.

This is the second outage that Apple's services have experienced in the last few days. iCloud, Siri, the App Store, Maps, Music, Podcasts, and more were unavailable for about two hours yesterday.

Update 4:06 pm: According to Apple's System Status page, the outages have now been resolved.

Today, the Apple payment system (not "Apple Card", but affecting Apple Card holders) collapsed.
Subscriptions were cancelled (mine), charges were claimed to be "declined" (but it never made it TO the issuing bank for approval/decline), and Apple support was useless.

Goldman Sachs (for those with Apple Cards) was also in the dark on what the issue might be.

My guess? Retaliation for cutting off Russia from SWIFT.
Also my guess is that Starbucks could be next.

Just as I tagged "Killing in the Name" and "Fistful of Steel" by Rage Against the Machine. Damn that Russian hackers work faster than Apple!
