I find that the library can be slow to load on both the iPhone, or iPad. Apple Music, or just the personal iTunes library. What usually helps for me is to one quit the music app by sliding up in the app switcher, and relaunching, or restarting the device and relaunching music. If that doesn't work, leaving the music app open and just letting the device sit for a few minutes also seems to work.. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Thanks, I appreciate the reply. Unfortunately I’ve been trying what you suggested for hours already. iOS only shows my purchased music and Apple Music albums I added this evening. No evidence of the rest.

OK, there is one other thing you can try.

In settings go into Music, and toggle both show apple music and show all music off, wait about 30 seconds turn them back on. This will force a refresh. Hope this helps.

I'm grateful to keep my local music files.
I'm with you there, I try to purchase my music when it's something I want to be sure to keep, and always have access to a local copy. I'm that way with Movies and TV as well. I use the streaming services, but I still prefer physical copies.

In my case, when it comes to streaming music services: Amazon Music is my primary, Apple is secondary. For Local I have CDs, but have also added my music to Plex Media Server for local compatibility for streaming to non apple devices.

I'm just sorry I never learned about SuperAudio CDs when they were current. I like the idea of 5.1 Music.

I tried Apple Music and Spotify and just kept enjoying the same old songs. So I cancelled my subscription and synced my iPhone again with iTunes. If I want to listen to something new I just use Free Spotify.
