So you’re saying a simple folder system will fix the music app. I don’t agree. Ah… windows users. So Music search needs advanced option not a seperate app.

Tchaikovsky what? String quartet, symphony, opera, ballet score? These guys covered a lot of ground.Hey Siri classical, could you play Tchaikovsky.
That's why I really enjoy the app Concertino:it integrates Apple Music quite well for me.There's is the link in the app store:https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/concertino/id1506663568?l=fr
The Apple Music Classical app that Apple first announced when it acquired classical music service Primephonic could potentially be launching in the near future according to additional mentions of "Apple Music Classical" found in the iOS 16.4 beta.

Code in the beta suggests that listening to Apple Music Classical will require users to have the standard Apple Music app installed. "To listen in Apple Music Classical, you'll need to install Apple Music," reads a line in the MusicKit framework.
As of right now, there is no sign of an Apple Music Classical app in iOS 16.4, but that doesn't mean that it won't come in a later beta or with the iOS 16.4 launch.
Apple initially said in 2021 that Apple Music Classical would be introduced "next year," aka, 2022, but that did not happen. There was no 2022 launch of the new classical music experience, and Apple has provided no updates on when we might expect to see the new app.
Apple promised that Apple Music Classical would be a dedicated classical music app that is separate from Apple Music, but this makes it clear that the Apple Music Classical app will also require Apple Music to be installed.
This is not the first time that we've seen references to Apple Music Classical in an iOS 16 update. iOS 16.3, for example, added "Open in Apple Music Classical" wording to the code, and there have also been mentions of the feature in backend code on Apple's site.
It is unclear why Apple has taken so long to introduce an Apple Music Classical app, and though we continue to see signs of it, it still remains a mystery as to whether it will come in iOS 16.4, a later iOS 16 update, or iOS 17.

Yep! Siri is awful at following clear instructions directed towards well-known recordings in Apple Music. Mind you I also tried working Apple Music through an Alexa device - "Please play Beethoven's 7th Symphony conducted by Claudio Abbadao". It gave me a 'Beethoven channel playing the 'Moonlight' sonata. Having repeated the request back to me I had some short-lived expectation but it seems Apple have not connected some kind of database of work/composer/performers/record label/date. I would rather that Apple sorted this out before they focus on AI headsets!Tchaikovsky what? String quartet, symphony, opera, ballet score? These guys covered a lot of ground.
I listen to lots of classical, and it's very rare for me to want to listen to a composer without a more specific target. I can't for the life of me imagine saying "Hey Siri, play Beethoven" and leaving it like that. You may as well say, "Hey Siri, play music."
I’ve come to the conclusion that the people on here complaining or belittling a classical app are the exact people with zero interest in the genre.Metadata is the most difficult part of any music service.
Classical metadata is even more important, because classical needs to be searchable by pretty much every field: musicians, vocalist(s), composer, piece name, performing artist(s), label, conductor, orchestra, concert hall(!), date published, date performed, instrument(s), the list goes on.
And at least from my observations of the classic metadata in Apple Music, there isn't a canonical form for a lot of this data.
Wow the stuff Apple Music plays for me is scary d ead on target. A radio station that plays a never ending stream of stuff I didn’t know or remember I loved. Keep rating everything maybe eventually it will pick up on what you like.Maybe instead Apple can fine-tune existing Music app into more relevant Listen Now, Browse, and Radio screens?
It's amazing how after years of use, labeling thousands of songs with likes and dislikes, creating my own playlists, and a clear history of music played, I still get mostly irrelevant recommendations and promotions into my feed. I know for a fact that I'm not the only person complaining of this, is anyone listening?
Why does it upset you so? You’re obviously never going to use it.So Music search needs advanced option not a seperate app.

Per Apple because they bought Primephonic. What a waste of development time, there's already a music app so what's the point in this.
With the addition of Primephonic, Apple Music subscribers will get a significantly improved classical music experience beginning with Primephonic playlists and exclusive audio content. In the coming months, Apple Music Classical fans will get a dedicated experience with the best features of Primephonic, including better browsing and search capabilities by composer and by repertoire, detailed displays of classical music metadata, plus new features and benefits.
Primephonic is no longer available for new subscribers and will be taken offline beginning September 7. Apple Music plans to launch a dedicated classical music app next year combining Primephonic’s classical user interface that fans have grown to love with more added features.
Because the music app is worse than useless when it comes to classical. What a waste of development time, there's already a music app so what's the point in this.
Yea it's a Miracle
Maybe might need those old songs to bring it back.I don't believe in miracles. Could it be magic?
Maybe might need those old songs to bring it back.
That would be a real achievement. Siri with that command just opens Apple Music and goes completely wrong.I hope they also get Siri to work better with classical music. It would be cool to say "Play Chopin's Third Ballade by Krystian Zimerman", and just have it just happen.
Not the Chopin Prélude Barry Manilow stole for "Could It Be Magic"?I hope they also get Siri to work better with classical music. It would be cool to say "Play Chopin's Third Ballade by Krystian Zimerman", and just have it just happen.
