Really? Can you give me one example of a Connect feed that has that?
This any good for you? Pharrell Williams
And you have thousands of additional unless posts just like it!
Great isn't it!!

My guess is everyone was focused on the consumer and not the supplier side.
I've turned it off now. Good riddance.Um, those are the comments from users/fans on Connect. I never open those comments, I just watch/listen to what the artists themselves are posting on Connect, that's the whole point.
EDIT: I can see where maybe you are confused about Connect if Pharrell Williams is the only artist you've looked at, all I see from him on Connect is a photo he's posted... with over 2000 comments! So yeah, that sucks... But check out other artists, again like Trent Reznor, you may not be a fan, but for his fans, he's posted his entire "With Teeth" album without vocals, so an instrument version of the album, for free. And he's posted videos from his concerts, old, rare behind-the-scenes photos (if you are into that stuff.)

I am so with you on this SJ 2.0 !!!Apple increasingly doesn't understand how to make products that just work.
Or how about Connect including stuff from other platforms? Wants to have to post this stuff to all these different places? Apple doesn't need to try and become a social platform.I hope Apple can figure this out and artists start using it to post unreleased songs. Just in the 2 days since Apple Music has been released a number of artists I like have posted songs to soundcloud. It would be great if they would also posted them on Connect so I could add them to my playlists.
Welcome to Ping 2 my friends. Apple just doesn't get social - I believe they never will.
Long ago in days of yore, Apple UI and process was elegant, slick and "just worked". If there was ever a term that the folks at Apple should despise whenever a user was to describe using one of their products it is "clunky". In the past that was a term that would never even be considered in the lexicon of Apple. These days however, it's become quite common.
Apple really needs to rethink where its going with its software design as well as it's offerings. It's been a long time since I've seen anything they've put out that was elegant, slick and "just worked".
Not sure that I care much about artists posting pics of themselves. The coolest feature here is the ability for artists to share playlists and unreleased music.

Connect has good potential, but there are some work to be done.
We need to be able to upload stuff from a computer and it would be great to know if you have any followers.
Also the comments section is very messy, it should be laid out more like facebook. It's good to be able to reply comments.
They need some feedback to make things work like they should. Hope they listen.
And because Apple is still stupidly tying updates to built in app like music and iBooks to iOS releases, they can't push out updates or new features without releasing an entire OS update. By comparison, Google is constantly updating their apps and services.
Well, yeah, if the artists in question could actually POST a song. I have an Apple Music Connect Artist Profile, and I just spent the whole day trying to push a single, rare remix exclusively to Connect. I experienced most of the things that article-writer complained about, and every upload failed. I gave up.
How am I supposed to post exclusive music if I need to first sync it up to my iPhone and then use THAT to post it there?
I'm not ready to boot up GarageBand and go that way, but maybe I should just give up and ram a track into GarageBand and hope it's Apple Music Connect will work..... Good grief Apple!
I agree on all counts. We need some method of getting notified if there's a comment. Need a way to be able to reply to that comment - and the person who left the comment, should be notified when they receive a response from the artist.
Uploading music from iTunes OSX should be absolutely glaringly obviously there, from day 1.
And I still don't know how to slam in a profile picture to my Apple Music Connect Artist, or a cover photo. Come on!
I agree it's not the best method. It failed on my once, but then I found another way to post music... put your music in Dropbox, then open the Dropbox app on your iOS device, choose the song and click the "share" button and choose the "Open In..." icon where you then get a choice to open that song from Dropbox into the Music app. Then you simply choose your Artist name, add a Cover Photo and post away! I've done several songs and videos this way for 6 of my music projects with no issues.
Here's the video I posted today - Out Of This World
But I do wish they had a web-based interface where you can just drag-n-drop your music directly to your profile page, that would be nice! I'm much more concerned about all these people (mostly here) that don't get what Connect is actually about, so they are removing it and/or bashing it without actually giving it a fair chance.
Oh well, too bad. The code is set in stone now and nothing will ever be changed. Nothing will be improved and no features will ever be added.
What's hilarious is that describes exactly what did happen with iTunes Match. I'm sure people defended it saying it was 1.0 and it would totally improve. But then it never did. Of course theoretically Apple could make improvements this time, but their track record for server based services is pretty poor.
