I’ve had a strange recurring problem where AM skips the second track of albums, playing the first and then jumping to the 3rd. Bizarre.
That actually sounds like you are going crazy and not a technical problem. Sorry to hear it. :p

I had no lossless music anywhere, and even in Settings, Music, the whole setting was missing to enable it. It's now working.

I'm not worked up either, don't think I even got the issue myself, but I just don't like people excusing Apple constantly.

From your posts criticizing others speaking up it appears you're on an important and very personal mission. Godspeed on your endeavor.

Still missing for me. I hope they took it down temporarily to solve the current lossless playback glitches (semi broken gapless playback, playback stopping after 15-20 seconds, ocasional popping or static...).

I've also had some lossless playback glitches; playback stopping occasionally, couple of times quite awful static, but those problems have been rare.

I should mention my lossless came back, but it coincided with me updating to iOS 15, which I hadn't gotten around to. I thought that was the problem - maybe they were forcing people off 14 if you wanted lossless - but sounds like that wasn't it.

Jealous, that absolutely did NOT work for me on a drive I just took. Seemed like 1/4 of the downloaded songs would work but 3/4 would just freeze. No hope for non-downloaded songs.

I was definitely in the "downloaded" section, too.
Yes I noticed once in awhile some songs don't load/play, but I just forward to the next available song when that happens.

Maybe they are fixing the issue where every recommenedation they make to me is Rap and Hip-Hop. Which accouts for about 1% of my music listening history.

Any one else have this issue?

Still not solved here. All the devices fully up to date.

I was having intermittent issues. I thought it was my internet spiking or something. The connection would randomly drop while I was streaming a song, quite fustrating. I'm glad Apple has resolved this now.

Apple Music is experiencing an outage at the current time, and according to Apple's System Status page, some users may experience intermittent issues with the service.

A number of Apple device owners are not able to use Apple Music at the current time, and there are many complaints on Twitter and other social networks about the outage. Apple updated the System Status page to reflect an issue at approximately 8:40 a.m. Pacific Time, but people have been having problems for much longer.

The App Store is also listed as experiencing issues, which is perhaps the explanation for why App Store privacy labels seem to have mysteriously disappeared earlier this morning.

There is no word on when Apple will address the outage, but we'll update this article when Apple Music and the App Store are functioning as intended.

lol people complaining. do you expect that everything always has. to run 100% 365days a year? servers need to be maintained there its excpected that like maybe once or twice in a year and issue occoures. People thing like they know everything in thair life

And this is why I don't do music streaming.

If the lights go out for a day where you live because of an outage, you can´t play any physical format either, or do many other things.

And you don´t say: This is why I use candles.

These things can happen in any area in life.

No. But you need to get what you paid for.

yes but maybe u should read Terms of Conditions. there its written that 100% uptime is not quaranteed more like 99%
Not what I’m suggesting, no need to be so flippant.
Quite frankly, strangely companies are extremely vague at the same time as seeming precise.
Keep companies as honest as they expect their consumers to be.

Probably unrelated but does anyone randomly get a "Can't find URL" message when playing songs on Apple Music. Sometimes in the middle of songs that message pops up and then it skips to the next song.

Yes. Tons of little bugs since a few days ago which affects playback.
