I just find it really strange that people are so proud to be out of touch. But most of the time, they are lying and it is a dog whistle to a certain group of people. Some people just really have nothing but hate and sadness inside of them and tear others down to make themself feel better. it's fine not to know who someone is but to try to belittle their achievements is just a sign of jealousy. I feel bad for anyone who has these people in their lives.

Well now I'm really curious who you think is in this group of "lowest common denominator of spectators." Please enlighten us.
Quite literally, no one wanted to watch it. Not anyone advertisers cared about anyway. And the NFL/Super Bowl has been steady losing viewers for many years. But big name pop-stars can a least get the target demo of 18-49 to tune in and they throw some commercials in there before & after it at a premium. But it sounds like you've aged out of who they are trying to attract.

R&B/Hip-Hop is the most popular genre in the US. This halftime show reflects that (what people are actually listening to).
Maybe Rihanna can perform her single “Rockstar 101” to appease you, though.

Also who the players listen to. These guys are in their 20s & early 30s and have definitely heard of Rihanna.
Most definitely. These players grew up on Rihanna’s music.
A lot of them said “What’s My Name?” and “Umbrella” are their favorite songs by her.
Apple has the biggest stage for a night. Odds are pretty high that we'll see a bunch of announcements.

The Super Bowl might not seem like the venue for classical music but Apple has been holding off while it seemingly appears ready with features and wording starting to appear in Apple Music proper. I can see an orchestra playing for Rihanna "brought to you by Apple Music Classical".
New Beats Fit Pro are ready to launch. Those yellow buds would really stand out on Rihanna. Maybe AirPods Pro colours too?
AirPods Max are beyond overdue for a refresh. An update to such a low key product would be easy to keep hidden with a reveal at the game. Sports players and big headphones are like peas and carrots. At the very least, they'll be wearing Beats, sports players' headphones of choice.
The timing of the release of Chamalet's tv+ ads series seems to be on pattern culminating to a big reveal in a few days, the same weekend as the Super Bowl.
Ted Lasso, a fictional football coach is too good to not use in Apple's Super Bowl takeover.

I wouldn't even waste my time trying to respond to the post in this thread. There is a trend on this board whenever anything is related to rap/hip-hop (which Rihanna isn't by the way).
Looking forward to her show. She's been one of the most influential artist in music over the last two decades!!!
If you ever thought Apple is the No.1 way to go for gaming, you should've gone Stadia as well.
She’s made more money away from music. The fact is, she’s basically coming out of retirement to do the Super Bowl. Just knowing how she is. I do expect this to be one of the greatest Super Bowl half time performances of all time…

I like Rhianna, I like some of her songs. I more appreciate that she's been in a couple fun/cheesarific Sci-Fi movies, namely Battleship and Valerian and the City of 1000 Planets.
FWIW, Battleship is of course based on the board game and the plot is pretty simple, but it's fun and they actually shoot WW2 battleship guns and that is gosh darn awesome.

Until now… I didn't think there has a huge enough rock one could hide under. I stand corrected.
The NFL has been in a ratings free fall since 2016… even during the “pandemic” when people had tons of free time on their hands, the ratings were down. Haven’t heard Rhiannas name since she was Muzak in my local grocery store. I’ll be really interested to see how many decide to tune in.

and Ozzy won a grammy!
i have other bands who are musicians in mind to perform,
but they probably think it is a waste of their time.
