ALMOST… I wish that was enough but its focus is adding some streaming service (like a pandora) to the Sonos control app. What I wish is they'd provide a full open API to control the entire units, so developers other than Sonos can make controller apps. There are hundreds of people trying to hack into the data stream and control the speakers, but little help from Sonos.

Sonos controller apps are so utterly bad UI design I am surprised there hasn't been a revolt among users. They need to embrace an open API and maybe open this up since patent is out. Become the defacto streaming standard to wireless speakers. But thanks for the reply.

Bose SoundTouch is amazing for us in our home. We actually tried the Sonos and returned them because two years ago they didn't have native AirPlay for iTunes Radio (iTunes Internet Radio ). Only the Bose had native Airplay at the time meaning with Sonos you could only play your own music library via Airplay. We're going to buy a second Bose for the other room. Sure a bit pricey but so is the Sonos. Not many options still in 2016 which is really weird.

What does Apple's Airplay have to do with this? I'm confused by your post. For years, you could use Sonos to stream music to either Sonos speakers, Sonos amps powering your owns speakers directly, or a Sonos unit connected to your home theater system using those speakers. You could choose from your own iTunes library, or any of a number of online streaming sources (Slacker, Pandora, etc.). What options in 2016 do you say are missing from Sonos? Again, Apple Airplay is not needed if you have Sonos.

SONOS users who are amazon Prime subscribers who live in United Kingdom, Germany and Austria, Amazon Prime Music is now available FREE on SONOS.
