I can understand the rolling eyes when it comes to a Taylor Swift joke, but Billie Eilish is about as talentless as they come.

Another young person who is mislabelled as being a ‘creative talent’ on the basis of singing from the back of her throat and dressing like a nightmare between Bauhaus and Fisher Price.

Right, because if you don't like her music, she must not have talent. I would like to see you write and produce songs like hers. I doubt you could do it. I hate it when people confuse opinion with talent. You don't have to like her, heck I don't like most of her songs, but I can recognize the talent she has.

She is, borderline objectively, talentless. But I'd be interested to hear what qualities you believe she has, so do please provide us with an analysis.

You "would like to see [me] write and produce songs like hers"? I really can't, sorry. They'd be much better.

I get that the song keeps saying "worldwide" but without the blurb I wouldn't have got that it's celebrating the fact that Apple Music is available in a load of countries... Maybe a quick "now in 165 countries" would have helped.

Also I don't get attacking the choice of musicians. They're artists that are popular for a younger demographic and have done well on streaming, probably the perfect choice for this sort of ad.

I can see this forum is full of jurassic haters who are stuck on Pink Floyd and the Beatles (both of whom I like!) and wouldn't know talent if it bit them in the ass. Music preference is relative, kiddos. Billie is at the top so go suck balls.

Still crap compared to Spotify. The only thing stopping me from Spotify premium in my country is family sharing and geographical restrictions. Still after this many years, AM could not recommend a single song which I like. Always ****** Hip Hop and Rap no matter how many times I disliked them.
I couldn’t agree more. They seem to be stuck on one genre.

Very MTVish. I like it.

There was a time when almost everyone I knew was on Spotify or didn’t pay for music. Now, my recommended friends to follow in Apple Music is a long scrollable list.

Apple’s best play is to tie AppleMusic to AirPods and borrow their pop cultural influence.

I fully agree. I recently learned about a young British woman who writes and sings her own material. In my view, very talented compared to Eilish. Give Holly Humberstone a listen.
You mean as opposed to a young American woman who writes and sings her own material?

Came here to say this. Reminiscent of when MTV was Music Television

One of the largest corporations in the world promotes a singer that calls women b**** and tricks while also throwing the n-word around like it's nothing.. all in the middle of the woke social justice movement and they're all completely immune.

What a time to be alive!

Well...one thing I don't understand... with music offering they are catering to teens, late teens. Billie is pretend sad music for 13 year olds, who thing, they are depressed, but are just actually bored.
With TV show/ movies they are catering to early boomers, because nobody under 35 cares about Oprah or Rachel from Friends.
Why the inconsistency?

Mate I'm 40 next year and Billie released one of the best albums of 2019 as well as a top 3 bond song this year so go teenage me I guess?

Yeah, you'd better not sing along, or you'll get busted!

Apple wants to associate themselves with Megan and other people who make $$$, because Apple wants to have a slice of that $$$. That's all it's about, and that is why we see those creepy "Essentials" compilations floating around. As if I would tarnish my collection of albums with anything with an Apple logo.

I never cared for either Oprah or Aniston in those days, but I do care for Billie (Eillish and Holiday alike), as I keep an open mind to music, litterature and movies. It is not teen music.

Yeah is really isn't teen music - ist trash like the rest of the charts. Where has *music* gone? x_X

Yes, it is generic radio pop music for teens made by teens. Target audience is teens. If 0,03 % of audience are 30 year olds, that doesn't mean it is not teen music. It's 7th graders trying to replicate Eilishes style and go to her shows (when there was live shows) , not grown people.
And, sorry, liking mainstream stuff isn't "keeping open mind on music" it's just liking popular music.
