I think you’re missing the point of my post. She knowingly smoked before the Olympic trials breaking her contractual agreement to compete fairly and free of substances, knowing very well she would get busted.
Now she’s using it as a platform for being treated unfairly.
Each their own, and more power to her, but cough Epic Games. 😉
When has she ever said she's being treated unfairly and shouldn't have been suspended?

She admitted to it and didn't even give some bogus excuse like most of these athletes.

Hmm.
Can you
Play the keyboards?
Use a Drum Machine to come up with your own beats on the fly (not necesarily program each beat in a song production)?
How many top global artists have you written songs for, recorded for, produced entire albums for?
Beyonce, Nas, Pusha T, Big Sean, Jay-Z, Travis Scott, Rihanna x10, ??
Have you become a self-made billionare yet?

* In Spotify's first ten years from 2008 to 2018, West was the sixth most streamed artist, and the fourth fastest artist to reach one billion streams. (Wikipedia)
* fourth best-selling digital songs artist of the 2000s in the US,
* He is the 7th highest certified artist in the US by digital singles (69 million).
* West has the joint-fifth most number-one singles in New Zealand (six), and the third most number one singles on the Hot Rap Songs chart (nine). He has the third-most top-ten singles in the UK by a rapper (20), and the joint-second most platinum singles in the UK by a rapper (eight). West is one of seven acts to have 100+ Billboard Hot 100 entries.

So much for your 'garbage music' lol. Maybe its just your taste in music that's garbage? You may dislike Rap, Hip-Hop, Trap music - that's fine, but trashing Kanye's music as garbage isn't valid in any view - he's accomplished a LOT.
Just because millions of people have crap taste in music does not make him good. To answer your questions, Yes. Yes. 3. None of those you listed are "musicans". no. I'm a couple of million short. Again. Selling garbage music to the minions does not mean it's good. My son listens to drake non stop that that is the same as listening to a runny fart in a soup can.

I have never listened to any of his stuff. I mostly stick to classic rock although I may listen to John Mayer's new album. I have heard some of it and it sounds sappy good.
One of the best blues guitarists of this generation. People here probably only know him for "body". because most people here probalby only listen to beats1. Listen to the entire where the light is live album. He's a great artist. I only listen to great music too. The beatles. The enigma of music. I would love to see anyone in pop crap music today try to write a song even remotely as good as "a day in the life".

Thank you.

Music. Great long time producer, writer, composer. Several Grammys influéncial even if a little mental consciousness adjusted (mental illness)

Yes it’s a GOOD thing. Considering all we heard was Beats, Lossless which many cannot use and Spatial audio is ALL we heard from Apple Music efforts related to Music in over a year.
I listened to one of his albums years ago, when he was singing about how education is bad. Didn't like it.

you hate on other genres and make huge assumptions on others taste in music just cause they like or celebrate who YOu don’t or the specific genre you don’t.

if you love music, you’d be much more open minded to every style of music.

maybe go learn how he actually produces his music before you make any such claims of it being 'garbage' music, because just as Kanye wouldn’t be able to write a Beatles song, I guarantee you neither McCartney nor Lennon nor anyone involved in the Beatles songs would be able to create a Kanye track.

What you need to learn is that they're all very talented musicians, and just because you personally don't enjoy Kanye's music it doesn't make it garbage. Calling it so just makes you close-minded:)

West and McCartney even appear on a song together- seems like McCartney doesn’t think he’s garbage, does he? ;)

At least U2 create actual music. Not just sampling others music tossing a drum track over it and speaking it's lyrics in rhythm.
let's be VERY clear about a few things here.

1. Music is Music:
Sounds, melody, harmony, lyrics / not, that evoke emotion or express a certain feeling or thought. These change over time regardless of genre or musical style or reference or influence to an artist or the listener(s) = us. The VERY first rhythm ANYONE hears is ....

Their mothers heartbeat in the womb. period. Many of us today would not call a heartbeat music though.

2. What's a Sample:

Source:

What is a Sample?

A musical sample is generally considered to be when pre-recorded audio is repurposed in a new work or piece. Samples can be used in an unaltered form as a verbatim copy of their original recording or they could be manipulated to take on a form indistinguishable from their original recording. The practice of sampling music is most associated with the hip-hop and rap genres but has found a place in most every other style of music.

What most people that chose or heard music on mainstream radio back in the early 90's would read this quote and if they remember this artist would chuckle ... or barely remember how dumb this artist was:

For a clear example of a sample there are few songs better to demonstrate the practice than “Under Pressure” by Queen and “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice. Vanilla Ice took the iconic bassline and sampled it as the backbone of his one hit wonder with a few manipulations thrown in for good measure.

Vanilla Ice denies ripping off Queen and David Bowie's Under Pressure

^ so yeah I can clearly understand when you hear Rap music most people that cannot relate to it just say ... 'its not music'.

Those further interested in just how far an artist can utilize and shape a sample in a song are encouraged to take a look at this video which breaks down the process used to create The Prodigy’s “Smack My Bitch Up”.

It is important to note that an artist covering a song is not usually seen as sampling, unless they take audio from the original and merge it into their version. When an artist covers a song they are taking a pre-existing piece of music and completely recreating it in their own way. While a cover could contain samples it is a totally different homage than samples.

Regarding your statement about U2 making music sure they do ... but they too also sampled. From the same source above:

“Daddy’s Gonna Pay For Your Crashed Car”

Zooropa (1993)
Samples;

  • “The Cliff” by Aleksandr Vedernikov
  • “The City Sleeps” by MC 900 Ft. Jesus originally released in 1991
  • “Skypager” by A Tribe Called Quest originally released in 1991

So ... be VERY careful what music you put down in terms of sampling. The Roots ... they've sampled and are JUST as accomplished as musicians as U2 in their own right but they play live and record playing their music as well. Some of their samples is purely via inspiration and played on instruments as well.

In the past the same rhetoric about what is music and what isn't, hating new forms of music just like:
blues,
Jazz - especially Miles Davis or Wynton Marsalis,
Motown (evolving to R&B a label name for it) - was considered devil music because of so much gyrating hips in it's day lol.
BeatBox'n - most readers here would think nonsense ... BUT would not say jack against Bobby McFerrin!

Many people here scoff at Rap music ... yet wouldn't call artist Herbie Hancock a non artist - yet he created Rock It! Fully Rap in it's early Breakdancing era.

Sampling music is another way of being inspired and sharing the emotion of one song into another to evoke a memory or staple of an emotion or to signature an era to set a mood, a statement, a feeling, etc. It's been going on for decades now long before the 8 track too.

In fact the history of licensing music that's been sampled or blatantly copied dates back to expensive home auto playing piano's.

Does Kanye west still have fans? Isn’t he the antithesis of what his fans ever wanted from him now? Or is bizarre Jesus music that big now ?
Apparently he still has at the minimum 1.5m hardcore fans according to these live stream numbers which would explain how all of his albums have gone at least platinum or are on the verge of 1 million in sales.
