Following its launch in October last year, Apple Music TV has today expanded to the UK and Canada (via 9to5Mac).

Apple Music TV offers a constant live stream of currently popular music videos, live shows, and events that run for 24 hours every day. Every Friday, Apple Music TV debuts new videos and there are appearances from ‌Apple Music‌ 1 radio hosts with interviews and more.

The feature was initially only available in the United States, but Apple is now beginning to roll the service out internationally, starting with the UK and Canada.

Apple appears to be celebrating the launch of Apple Music TV in the UK by featuring songs from British artists such as Dua Lipa, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith, and Little Mix.

Users can watch ‌Apple Music‌ TV in the ‌Apple Music‌ app as well as in the Apple TV app. In the TV app, users scroll down to find ‌Apple Music‌ TV highlighted on its own dedicated row, and it is also at the top of the Browse tab in ‌Apple Music‌. There is as yet no other way to bookmark or access the channel.

Weird coincidence of the day this is posted and the current news. :|
Glad to see expansion nevertheless.

Wish they'd stick to getting stuff right before adding in new stuff - considering :apple:Music's meant to have a 'global' audience I was looking in music categories yesterday, still zero for folk, grime or soundtracks sections. You'd think curation would be by country which then adds up to the global list, but no. then again maybe i'm holding it wrong?

Ideally I'd want :apple:Music's layout to be identical to the iTunes store of old and have the option of streaming direct from the same file, that to me would seem the most logical, but no, god knows who designs this stuff!🤬

Good news and it’s free to watch in the Music app without a subscription. They need to expand this and Apple Radio with more genre specific stations and more music related documentaries.

Interesting. I can maybe see this going on in the background, but the again, I’d probably rather pick my own playlist. Nice option I guess.

So is this a UK-specific stream? Or a global channel where we'll hear the usual generic mix of Apple-approved hip-hop, country and electro-pop, as well as 'exclusives' with Drake/Gaga etc. ?
I think it’s probably one stream for everyone like their radio stations.

Funny how Cook is so conservative in some ways and bans certain apps but highlights very crude lyrics from no talents like Megan Thee Stallion and Cardi B. Now he will be trying to not only entice us to listen to them but look at them as well
Yea, how dare he give women a platform to be heard and celebrate their bodies, what is happening in this world.
