Question for those who say they know their iPad/iPhone is outputting Dolby Atmos/Spatial Audio: How do you know?
For me, turning it off/on makes the presence of SA obvious. But the SA graphic does not animate like it does when viewing video. Does it animate for anyone else (using iOS 14)?
If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can listen to select songs in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos. Learn which devices support Dolby Atmos, how to change settings for Dolby Atmos, and find answers to common questions so you can start listening.
I just tried to play a song on my library and it asked me to delete and redownload. Do I have to do this every time? And if I were to shuffle my playlist would it play the non Dolby atmos version or the new one?
It really should update automatically as that’s a lot of admin for my to mess about with.
Spatial Audio is a trip. I love it. Almost makes up for the years of no real EQ. I do not understand how people don't hear the difference. I've been a headphone/IEM geek for a long time and never really enjoyed the sound of the APP. I only got them for all the phone work I had to do during the pandemic. Spatial Audio is the first time I've truly enjoyed music on these.
