Oh dear…

At least wait until all the blood letting and chest beating has played out.

We still have to see what is going to happen to all the politicians and CFTC regulators who were bought off with bribes, the international laundromat known as Binance and the Tether counterfeit digital dollar scam.
Why make a movie about it all of a sudden? At least wait for a few months before jumping onto producing a movie about it so you can get your ideas worked out.
Too soon, this almost like artistic TMZ.
From concept to post it typically takes a minimum of two years to make a film. With tweaks along the way, including reshoots. This situation will be wrapped by then, it’s not coming out in Spring.

I hope it openly exposes all who made this corruption possible and shows the trail of where the money went.
We all know that ain’t going to happen.

people lost a lot of money and they just look at this for next cash grab? welcome to vulture capitalism
What do you expect them to do? Production companies produce things. They don’t produce this another entity will.

Apple should do it quickly because like cryptocurrency it is all about selling hype. it is not too soon.

I hope regulators really go hard after celebrities and their involvements in hyping cryptocurrency scams.
I’m sure many of these celebrities had no idea what they were/are getting in to. Someone comes along and offers them a pretty penny for a days worth of ad work and it’s a no brained for them. Now, will they continue to endorse these same exact scams? Probably not. On to the next new thing. What are those “authentic” digital image things called again? 😄

Something like 80% of all these magic coins and tokens belong to like a few hundred people. If you think the wealth gap in the normal world is bad, in this crypto world it is 100000X worse. Just a completely money grab and totally rigged. Many of them are just ex-bankers and ex-brokers who used all their old tricks to create a new unregulated space to steal everyone’s money.
Part of me thinks governments are letting these run their course so people will soon be begging for an authentic digital dollar. That’s when the world we know it ends. Bad enough tip toeing around and not getting banned on a social platform. Imagine they power the governments will have when they can shut off your bank account. 🤔

Those with money control the narrative. Who needs ideas and facts when the main purpose is misdirection while making a profit.

Michael Lewis hung out with the guy for six months and didn’t know it was a house of cards. If he has any insights into the reality of this scam why didn’t he reveal them before the collapse?

I suspect Lewis either doesn’t have any real insights, or won’t share them because it would expose the reality of corruption, which goes far deeper than FTX and SBF, touching on politicians and the elite. As a result, I expect whatever is produced to be pure propaganda designed to distract people from the truth.

That's not true. Ex-bankers are old-school and don't understand technology at all. Cryptocurrency is not a fad. It's here to stay, in some form. They have a saying in the crypto world... "no keys, no coins", which means that digital wallets are safe and secure. You could figuratively drop your wallet on the sidewalk and nobody would be able to get at your coins.

The biggest concern is scammers from places like Ghana pretending to be beautiful blonde women, but instead are pathetic soul-less men, scamming others out of crypto under the guise of some heart-wrenching sob-story. Had one such guy contact me under three separate Twitter profiles in less then 10 minutes. The new MuskTwitter is ripe for that.

One thing is certain, there isn’t going to be a currency of any sort that the government doesn’t control. They have enormous and powerful militaries to make sure of that. The government already can cut you off from your bank account. They aren’t giving up that power.

When millions or billions of dollars are moving through offshore banks all the governments know about it and their intelligence officers are spying on all this activity. It’s their job to gather information on all these activities. All the wealthy countries were involved in this. US, China, Russia, UAE, etc. One exchange will be a front for one country’s agency. Another exchange will be a front for another country’s agency.

All the people running these exchanges and creating these pump n dumps come from previous experience in brokerages, hedge funds and venture capital firms. They were all competing against each other and pretending to be ‘one industry’ so they could get the maximum amount of money sent to them, until they can’t anymore.

Just what I need to occupy my free time, a (probably just somewhat) true story of greed and swindling people out of their money. THAT’S ENTERTAINMENT!!!

While I agree this is still unfolding, the series likely wouldn't be out for another year. Perhaps what comes out as a part of this will hold those involved even more accountable and provide key facts for the legal battle that will ensue from everything that transpired.

Not sure if people didn’t read the article or if they just don’t understand it. Bought rights to develop a future film based on an unpublished book from a bestselling author who was in the room where it happened. Maybe you’ll see it in late 2024. Maybe.
Hmmmmm……the room where it happened, the room where it happened… will Lin Manuel Miranda be scoring the music?

TrueAnon did an excellent episode about this guy. There’s definitely a gulf between those who “believe” in crypto and those who just want to make money at all costs (Bankman-Fried being the latter). It was basically a Ponzi scheme and funny that so many investors and politicians fell for it. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Guys read the article... the author was already writing a book about SBF before the collapse. He's been following him the last 6 months.

Apple is just bidding on the rights to turn it into a movie.

This is the harsh truth “crypto bros” don’t want to acknowledge.

You forgot about the second half of capitalism, that most people criticizing it tend to leave out. The part where people have the choice to not go watch the movie. Don't blame a company for wanting to make money; that's the point of companies. Blame the people who want to see this movie, creating enough demand for any company to make this. If Apple doesn't make it, some other company will, if the demand is there.

Sounds like Tim Cook, he admitted owning cryptocurrency in the past and I don't think it's exactly pocket change.

I'd be more interested in the inevitable Twitter collapse story/movie that's still unfolding before the worlds eyes. :p
Don’t hold your breath. Twitter is losing money now but Musk is (was?) the world’s richest man and he has lots of billionaire friends, or at least billionaires who are willing to invest in his companies. Not sure many of them have a lot of actual friends. Point is that people WANT to post their opinion (and by commenting here I’m proving that I’m no exception) and Twitter right now is still one of the big boys, audience wise.
