Agreed, if there was no competition just think how much we would be paying for a iphone , and would be doing a lot less then it doing now.

Most fanboys do not understand that kind of logic. Hell they should be rooting for the underdogs. Competition lowers prices and improves the quality at the same time.

The iPhone is a great device far ahead in it's field and Apple can name their price for the device and A&T for their services because they have the iPhone.

But as soon as the competition starts closing in those prices start dropping. Apple makes bigger advances in technology to stay ahead adding extra goodies to the package. It makes AT&T lower the price and improve their services.

Capitalism is a beautiful thing in motion.

At it again with the historic stuff.

If you're going to argue something, at least know your topic.

Apple's hiring of IBM, AMD and Motorola employees all happened in the past six months or so.

That's long after Palm hired most of its former Apple staff.

He's jaded and biased... Thirty years of designing devices and UIs can do that to you.

If you meant that I'm not bedazzled by flashy shiny things like a kid, you're right. :)

And I'm certainly biased against those who post fake technical "facts", know nothing of real business, and who post fanboy mythology. I'm not alone; other experienced engineers here have written their thanks.

When I write about how something works, or what a patent means, or who invented what, you can take it to the bank 99% of the time.

Cheers!
