Apple and Google are not alone in supporting the Left. Most of Hollywood and news corps do. They feel safer with the Left than with Trump.
Who says Apple isn't gonna validate a certain group's political opinions as well? But don't people who want political news just go directly to their preferred source/paper/TV channel that validates their existing opinions?
Gonna go ahead and just block that topic from my news.
From the WSJ:
From the Political ad spending will total $9.9 billion in 2020, according to the latest U.S. advertising forecast fromWPP PLC’s ad-buying unit GroupM. That would be up from $8.7 billion in 2018, when midterm congressional elections were held, and from $6.3 billion in 2016, when President Trump was elected."
follow the money - the "news" industry has a self serving interest to bid one party off against the other... And one candidate against another - hence Yang, Gabbard et all get no airtime, Sanders is pushed behind Joe because he has the bug bucks (and is less likely to implement campaign finance reform)- and watch has Hillary will swoop in to usurp the "democratic" choice.
lovely process, this democracy.
Just because you think something isn’t biased doesn’t make it so.
Coverage is biased on both sides. Fox News coverage has been just to deny everything, even when confronted with the facts.Except it factually is. Just look at the impeachment coverage. Not a fan of the President. I didn't and won't be getting my vote, but if you don't think the coverage was bias you need to check yourself.
Ofc you can. Just call both parties and asked them which 10 news outlets they want to be included in the coverage and then include these outlets. Nobody can blame you then for censorship or lack of objectivity when the political parties themself made the election.
Exactly why they are doing it. Seek information, and decide for yourself.
Or...just let people on Facebook tell you what to think.
There more than just a few sources. Unless you consider Facebook a source of news. And what if the parties themselves don't represent the interests of their actual candidates? The NYT's "The Daily" podcast last week described exactly how listening to party insiders in 2016 was part of their reason they got the election wrong. You can hear the podcast here.

Reading curated articles is not seeking information - it is reading pre-selected articles presented by a few individuals.
I wish that we had this in the UK too...I'm a Canadian customer and I would very much like to access that tab. It doesn't work, even though I use iOS 13.3.1 and macOS 10.15.3.
Reading curated articles is an interesting exercise: we know who is doing the curating, and are interested to observe what they are selecting for us.And what if the parties themselves don't represent the interests of their actual candidates? Our politics is in the state it is in because of us voters. Plain and simple.
Three ways, you can go into the application and make adjustments to what you follow. You can go to the settings application and remove notifications for "news". And finally.. if those 2 things are still allowing to much to go though. Delete the application, go to the app store and redownload it. Then set it up from scratch. How do I stop Apple news from polluting my notifications screen?

Dude, who pissed in your cereal this morning? Newsflash...insulting people and talking to them like you are...is the fastest way to turn them against you. You straight up invalidate any "point" you may have the second you start being an ass. Grow up, keyboard warrior.Shut the fūck up.
