Reading curated articles is not seeking information - it is reading pre-selected articles presented by a few individuals.
Everything is curated—especially at one source (e.g. the editor in chief). Collecting representative samples from many sources should reduce bias in theory.
But, if Apple News has a Men’s Health article as its number two suggestion for 2020 election coverage, clearly Apple News is broken. (I kinda hope this didn’t actually happen, but this is precisely the kind of lowbrow pop culture ******** I absolutely couldn’t escape from when I tried out Apple News—so unfortunately it’s believable.)
The majority of people in the US and around the world believe that, to some real extent, democracy is truly on the line in this election. Many (more than 10) Republican Senators even said as much while voting against Democrats during the impeachment.
But for some, I guess it all comes down to entertainment, right? Since the Democratic candidate’s administration would do exactly the same thing that Trump and his administration would do from 2021-2024? 🤘
