Apple today announced a Democratic presidential candidate guide for Apple News, offering users what it describes as "a timely, trusted and comprehensive look at the 20 individuals participating in the first Democratic debates."

Curated by a team of Apple News editors, the guide aims to be a one-stop shop for learning about each candidate and their policies, with information drawn from sources including ABC News, Axios, CNN, Fox News, NBC News, Politico, The Hill, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, TIME, USA Today, Vox and others.
The section will allow users to read about the candidates' biographies and experience, as well as notable moments and quotes, current positions on key issues, and videos, photos and recent coverage from a range of news sources.

In addition, Apple News will feature updates from the debate, with articles and video highlights from NBC News, including fact checking, reactions and key onstage moments and takeaways.

The Democratic debates are set to be hosted by NBC News, MSNBC and Telemundo in Miami, Florida, on June 26 and 27. Apple says the candidate guide will feature in the Top Stories section of the News app on iPhone, iPad and Mac from today, with continuous updates throughout the primary campaign.

I have a feeling Apple will “curate” the hell out of this election.

if there's any truth to the latest project veritas release, then it will be more than just apple doing the "curating" of the 2020 elections.

LOL. Welcome to the rest of the world. In Germany there has been a website where you could check which of the parties fits your values point by point before you vote for almost two decades.

This seems like a reasonably bold move on their part. I’d expect people will treat this as thought Apple were creating the content. Apple will then surely get blasted for bias favoring one or another democratic nominees over the others, and certainly over Trump.

Questioning the truth of project veritas is always a good idea.

And even this fictional caricature would be better than the amoral, incompetent imbecile in the White House today.

I’d think an upcoming debate would prompt such a move. Say, like the one the D candidates have coming. Without something like that I don’t think many people are considering a republican field as genuine.

Those characters aren’t fictional. They actually want to see who can give away the most things. These people are real. It’s who succeeds with identity politics the most.

Trump is going to bring it home so hard, heads will spin. The left has gone off the rails to the point of certifiable, and people can see it. Shame, I’m a lefty, but not like this.

There’s no truth to any Project Veritas release. I can’t believe I have to say that. (Unless you were being sarcastic).

Popular vote doesn’t determine the elections. California alone does not chose the president. And guess what, remove California from the popular vote, Trump has 4 million more votes. The Democrats enter the election at a huge advantage with electoral votes just from New York and California. The fact they can’t take advantage of that is beyond me.

The left had gone off the rails?...I’d love to know your rational for that statement. The left isn’t the one who is refusing to pass legislation (Mitch McConnell is blocking’s around 120 pieces of legislation), it’s not the left that locking children in cages after separating them from their parents, it’s not the left rolling back environmental protections and ignoring climate change and it’s not the left trying to drag us into a war with Iran.

Republican, Democrat, Green, Alien, Disembodied Ghost party, I don’t care. Apple needs to provide a way to turn off this force-fed political stuff in the News app.

That'll probably be helpful, with far too many candidates to make sense of this early.

Back to your scheduled crystal-balling and chest beating.
