If I could mark pages I see in Chrome to read later in Apple News, I might be more inclined to use it. Maybe it would actually learn what I care about. When I accidentally open it I get content I have no interest in.

I just opened it and these are my top stories:
1. LASIK should be banned
2. 9-year-old graduates college
3. Impeachment is not a fair fight
4. Three cows that vanished months ago show up on an island miles away

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN FACEBOOK?

Too expensive. Plus with so many subscriptions all over the place, so much content is free or you are already paying. It should cost not more than $5.
Also, ideally Apple will have a bundle subscription with all services included.

And there's plenty of that content currently free online.

I think this is the main thing. $10 is a lot when you can get most if it for $0. Even within the app in the today tab, you can get a ton of content for free - including much of headline stories from good journalists at WaPo, NYT, WTJ, The Atlantic, and the like. The extras aren't worth $10 to most people.

Horrible UX with no meaningful improvement since the News+ rollout.

Apple still cannot match the convenience of Zinio as a reading experience.

Viewing magazines and back issues is still painful. Bookmarking articles to read later, much less download just those articles, is impossible.

Where are the high-end magazines, for example, those from Taunton Press?

Where are any additional newspapers beyond the WSJ and LA Times?

Where is a Search function?

Synchronization across devices?

on and on... just a pitiful design suggesting ridiculously clueless management. And, yet, we're continuing to subscribe for now hoping for improvement. Not sure how long I'll keep it up though if they don't at least show SOME effort at improvement.

If they could lock up a deal with Washington Post and New York Times I'd sign up in a heartbeat, but that isn't likely to happen. I'm not even interested in it with their supposed bundle they are working on with Apple Music and AppleTV+. Would rather just pay for those services separately.

There’s a market for unbiased, straight, “just the facts” news. People will pay for it if it’s there, and easy to access.

Unfortunately , I was still getting clickbait headlines and opinion pieces. Not to mention the execution was poor. So I cancelled.

If they can find a way to better curate the sources , and make it easier to navigate, I’d come back.

Lots of people here sheting on it, rightfully so. Does anyone have any suggestions for apps that are better?

I have not bought any magazines in well over 2 yrs and there is so much drama and negativity from the news so why subscribe and pay?

I actually enjoyed the content for the magazines I followed. The problem I had with the service is that for the magazines I liked, I had to constantly pinch and zoom on my mobile device to read the articles. It wasn't responsive and that's why I cancelled my membership. They shouldn't have content that you can't easily consume on all of your devices.
