Become a MacRumors Supporter for $50/year with no ads, ability to filter front page stories, and private forums.
What it really needs to be usable:

- sort by oldest
- mark as read on scroll
- already read indicator
- show ALL articles from my channels, not just the ones Apple thinks are popular

Give me all of the above, and I'll divorce Feedly.

I'd add: remove the ads!!!!

Seriously now, why are there ads in the feed list? I understand ads embedded in the content, but the list of articles? I'm sorry, is my $900 phone subsidized by ads now?

Ads that take up 40% of the screen. Awesome.

Early access? Well then, that's not news. Those are stories/segments/biographies. Otherwise, they are getting their behinds kicked by everyone else. All that other content is fluff. I can wait for that (assuming I want it at all).

Well, you can off course decide NOT to use anyone who goes for the whole 40% all the time; your choice.
Or, possibly subscribe and either get no add, or very little ads (like the New York Times).

Also, does it say it takes 40% of every screen?
Newspapers run full page ads and much smaller ones. Sometimes crappy small ads are more annoying than the large ones.

Well good for you then; you don't have too, move along...

Most news you can get EVERYWHERE for free; value added content should be more than that.

Magazines, and even newspapers have things that don't report what happened in the last half hour; investigative reporting, profiles. I know people are ADD and want their bite size, new crap, 24h a day; but there is a place for the rest too.

It's apple software, on an apple device. A device I paid for so I would never see ads. Ads should take up 0% of the screen.

It's not like I'm referring to in content pages where Apple has no control. I get why content would have ads. This is between stories.

Bear in mind that other than U.S., only iOS 9.1 beta could get news app.

And I must say this app is poorly designed. No way to quickly go back to first page. No reload button. Search function is extremely poor. And I cannot just pick up a feed from currently reading article, rather than manually searching and adding it to news.

P.S. Some comments in this article makes me feel really enjoyable. ;)

Aren't you whining right now?

As for Apple News, I don't like that they get *exclusive* content. Wasn't the point of the app to access information more easily?
No, the point was to get ad revenue and hurt Google
