I understand that.
But I find it hard to understand a fixed-line home connection with a data cap.

People using a lot of bandwidth cost providers more in back end infrastructure to support it. Therefore, there is a reasonable cost increase for commercial accounts which tend to need more bandwidth. A server would potentially need more bandwidth than the average household. Therefore, the limit. I stream all my tv and have never faced a cap issue.
 
The best videos are in 480, like the halking heads “once in a lifetime” you can watch that non stop all month and be might entertained!
