🤦‍♂️

You are absolutely clueless.

The Euro is down 37% against the dollar since 2009. It’s down nearly 20% in the last year alone.

Let me guess, you’ve never traded on FOREX before and have no clue what currency values look like when they crash.

Let me break it down to you in this way: if you got paid in dollars while living in Europe for 14 years, your salary in Euros increased by 58% without getting a raise.

Chill dude. All your knowledge of FOREX trade doesn’t invalidate my points and you seem to have issues with logic. Let me break it down to you:

A) the fact that the dollar is “murdering” all other currencies doesn’t explain the very narrow gap in price between an Air and a Pro model. The gap is narrower in pound sterling but still, the price difference is negligible in dollars too

B) you compared a product at full price vs one with discount applied. It does not make sense.

It would have nice to engage in a constructive conversation but you sound like you’re barking out your two bits of knowledge about markets and currencies, showing your weakness while desperately trying to invalidate my opinion, and at the same time missing completely the point of my first post 🤦‍♂️

At 8:05 I placed an order for Midnight/10/24/512/67 and it showed Aug 2-9.

At 8:20 I realized I ordered the wrong charger, I wanted the dual usb-c one. I frantically placed another order, getting an apple card in the process (which I wanted to do anyway). Unfortunately I could not actually use the new card to place the order.

Second order finally placed at 8:28am. Midnight/10/24/512/dual35. Same delivery of Aug 2-9.

Now, I'll go back to cancel the first order.

My Midnight 24 Shipped today. Estimated delivery Jul 29, about one week early.

This morning Apple updated my 16/512/10-core Midnight order status to say "Shipping to Store" with a 2-3 week lead time instead of the previous August 9 pickup date. On the Store app the window is 8/1-8/8.

M2 Air first impressions compared to M1 Air. Spec is upgraded 10 core GPU, 24GB Ram, 512 GB SSD.

Pros: Physical design looks amazing. Midnight looks great. Bigger screen is welcome and noticeable. My first notch experince, does not bother me in the slightest. Dual port charger is nice, smaller and more functional than the prior. Aesthetically, M2 looks much thinner. Weight I think I actually do feel the 1 oz weight reduction. M2 chassis feels stiffer when picking it up with one hand.

Typing is good. Keys are stiffer than the M1 Air, but feel good (M1 Air felt great). Maybe the keys are too stiff, I only used it a few minutes.

Cons: This thing gets warm, no lie. Just browsing FB while its on my lap, and I want to take it off of me. Not as bad as Intel days, but after using the M1 Air for 2 years, that thing was COLD. Huge and noticeable differnece. Only thing I'm disssapoined with thus far.

Thanks for confirming a purchase I made on eBay less than a month ago. A new factory sealed M1 MacBook Pro 💻 13in. I didn’t want to deal with an overclocked M2 chip with bad thermals. The M1 air or pro is the one to get.

Weird. I have had mine for nearly a week and it's never once gotten warm. Not upon first boot, when it downloaded all of my files, music and photos from iCloud while simultaneously running Time Machine backups to my Time Capsule. Not while browsing the web with a couple of dozen Safari tabs active. Not last night, while streaming a baseball game in full-screen using the MLB app.

Not one single time has it gotten warm enough for me to even notice anything.

I hope it was an anomaly! I only spent a few min with it before leaving for the dayjob.

I noticed that with my wife's older MBA. Things that used a bit of CPU and made my PC laptop warm didn't even dent hers. It was actually somewhat cold. But CIV V really warmed it up, I guess since it can't keep the GPU cool as well.

Picked up my Midnight 16/512/10c last night. After setting it up I also noticed it’s much warmer to the touch than my M1 right next to it. Love the look and everything else, not sure how much the heat will impact my opinion. I may try putting it on low-power mode to see what the impacts are. I have 2 weeks to get comfortable with this so I intend to use them.
