How about the millions of people finding good value with Apple Music or Apple TV, just to name two services.

It’s arcade and fitness plus that are the ones I only subscribe to because of the premier plan. I paid for Apple news + before the one plan.

This is exactly why offers and bundles like Apple One exist - to package several popular services along with an underperforming service to prop up its numbers.

Not true, for me at least. I subscribed US Apple One Premium just for the sake of getting Apple News. Sure, it needs improvement, but Apple News+ is not a complete trash.

I have the Apple One premier subscription. I find it to be great. And sharing it with up to six family members makes it worth it. I just buy an Apple gift card once a year and the service is all paid for.

After I got a bunch of photos from my family and put them in my photos, I had to get the 1 Terabyte option of iCloud

I do. I thought for a long time that I wouldn't, but it seemed like a reasonable way to get to Wall Street Journal content that's otherwise paywalled and to see what else gets mixed in. It's not great, but for what I want it for (secondary access to a bunch of sources I wouldn't pay for individually) it's not bad.

I wish my ad blockers worked with News+ though... I suspect that's part of the reason so many publishers are willing to bundle together-- they're probably getting a cut of the ad revenue.

Apple is going to keep the free tier 5GB until that sounds like 5MB. And yeah, we’re not actually that far off from that.

It’s almost as irritating as the way they leap from 200 Gb to 2 Tb in their pricing structure. I know they are a business and there are alternatives, but it still irked me (when I just passed 200 Gb the other day).
