Apple refurbs are usually good as new...For a watch I can't help but wonder if they make sure to scrub all the *icky human stuff* out of every possible place it can get in, around the button, dial, gap between the chassis and sensor ring, speaker, etc. Gross human skin cells get in all of those.

Nice, I'm glad I waited on getting a series 3, now I can save a little bit more on cash.

Disclosure: I use a refurbed MacBook and iPad with great results (it's always the software I have issues with, not the hardware).

Wow.. 2nd-hand watches

Nobody's going to buy that watch as a series 3 without the red dot!

I got an original Stainless for AU$100. I'm ruined now, will never buy a Sport. But for the extremely limited utility, you'd be nuts to pay new (or even refurb) prices for something that will be outdated within a year. It's a nice iPhone accessory, but the prices don't relate to the usefulness.

Apple should really be concentrating on a MacBook Pro series that are Pro for longer than a couple of hours before the thermal limit throttles them back!
A consultant could update the watchbands without crippling the Mac line.

I got mine on Friday. I really like it, much more than the FitBit Charge I had for the past two years. I've never had an AW before so I have no idea how to tell what makes it refurbished compared to a brand new one.

as much as i like the apple watch i cant wear them... the only thing that its stopping me is whenever i wear the apple watch i got this tingly & numbness on my arms so i stop wearing it.. then returned it... alot of people having this problem but hoping that apple will resolve this.. maybe just maybe come out with two smartwatch one without the heart sensor & the other will have it...

I don't quite understand. Do you feel the tingly feeling in your arms also when wearing other watches that are similarly heavy? Also, what makes you think that the heart rate sensor (it is actually just measuring the frequency of vein dilation and expansion) is causing this feeling?

I would lean towards these are returned/open box watches.
1. Found the watch cheaper or with added perks elsewhere.
2. Watch was purchased by someone else and the receiver decided they wanted LTE.
3. Wore it for a few days and decided their Fitbit was better.

its either the heart sensor or the magnetic underneath the watch thats giving me numbness on my arm.. since i was in high school ive been wearing a watch heavy or not no problem at all.. ive worn other smartwatch that has no heart sensor again no problem..
