Not sure if anyone has had this happen before, but figured I'd ask:
Just bought a new iPad Pro over the weekend. Is there any sort of window where they will honor the offer or do I need to return and repurchase?

Was going to ask this same thing. I have an Apple TV 4K delivering tomorrow. I’m really hoping they won’t make me kick off a return and buy a new one

If Microsoft can offer $350 off the purchase of a Surface Pro 7 bundle, with keyboard, as well as quite substantial discounts on several other Surface products, then why can't/won't Apple?
LMAO! Easy answer. You should know this. It's not like everyone is clamoring over a SurfaceBook/SurfacePro, especially now since Apple has taken the focus off a lot of the online computer manufacturers after the M1 introduction. And maybe you don't know or forgotten that Microsoft had to close it's stores so sales aren't doing so well. They are willing to drop their drawers to get the kind of sales Apple gets around the holidays. Lastly the Surface line of PC's is "premium" product and during BF people aren't looking to pay top dollar for a Windows machine. Dell and HP have too many cheap PC laptops that highly compete against the Surface line. M$ is desperate.

Anyone know when the gift card is delivered? Is it a physical card that comes with the item, or a digital code via email?

I’m wondering if I can buy an item and then use that gift card immediately to buy a second item.

This is kinda a smack in the face. Surely Apple can do better here.

$50 for a MacBook Air or Pro? really?

$100 for HomePod ... I guess your view makes sense here.
How is it a smack in the face? Apple didn’t have to do anything at all. They are giving customers gift card money for a purchase, as a way of saying thank you. And here you are complaining.

It would make sense for them to honor it, probably would have better luck calling them and asking once this special is live rather than using live chat.

Do you think they would be good enough to offer the voucher if you've just bought a product last week?

Edit: whoops already been asked. Let see what they say.

Funny. When you want to buy an Apple product in the UK $150 becomes £150 but when you get a gift voucher for the same amount it suddenly becomes £120. The exchange rate only works in one direction, apparently.
I was just about to post the same thing! Unbelievable!

Yep, courageous decision crApple. Up yours. Absolute feckin joke...

The entitlement mentality strikes again. Apple doesn’t owe you anything.
Tell that to Thomas Moyer.

ok, so we are sure this is it then? Because I've been waiting holding off on pulling the trigger for one of the NEW M1's till Black Friday and Cyber Monday deal was announced. And I have to buy direct from Apple as that is where my Gift Card money is.

💵 💰🤑 SimplyMac is doing $150 off of the M1 MacBook Pros right now for Black Friday. Just go to their site, then shop, then shop all deals. Good luck! I don’t think any media or deal sites have picked it up yet. I’ve not seen it listed anywhere.

Question to someone who purchased over Black Friday last year, what was the delivery period like? Backed up, and ended up being "January" etc?

Gift card doesnt' really hurt Apple ... $50 for a $2K machine and you're satisfied with that as a thank you? You must be friends with those at Apple Marketing. The back to school gift with MBP/MBA and AirPods 2 or Beats had a higher value ~ which worked VERY well at incentive's sales of other products. Going less now ... smaketity smack smack.

I’ll be calling them on Friday about this. I bought two homepods last week, and I will simply return them and buy again if they won’t honor it. i can report back and tell what they say, but it may come down to how convincing you are with the agent.

either way, it’s a good deal to get a free mini with each HomePod purchase, two of which I was planning to buy anyway.

I called them to ask the same thing. I bought two HomePods and a 4K ATV on 11/10. Agent said that right now they have no direction on honoring these gift cards, but I can return and re-purchase. Seems like they could honor the deal and save us both some trouble, but no dice right now. Maybe if enough people call they'll change it around, but I'm planning on going the return re-purchase route because $250 isn't chump change!
