Thanks for the reply. Sorry to hear about the answer they gave you. If I return online, apple will be losing money on the return shipping, right?

I called them to ask the same thing. I bought two HomePods and a 4K ATV on 11/10. Agent said that right now they have no direction on honoring these gift cards, but I can return and re-purchase. Seems like they could honor the deal and save us both some trouble, but no dice right now. Maybe if enough people call they'll change it around, but I'm planning on going the return re-purchase route because $250 isn't chump change!
Might be worth waiting until offer is live, agents may have mechanism to make it happen then. Christmas returns period are in effect so unless Apple want the loss of returned goods and the return delivery cost it would be in their interest to bend a little. Propably will end up being account specific though.

So 100% the new Macbook Air (or Applecare) is not included in this? I should just order now?

The gift card values in the United Kingdom are as follows:

£120 for 16-inch MacBook Pro
£120 for 21.5-inch iMac
£40 for 13-inch MacBook Pro (Apple Store locations only, subject to availability)
£40 for MacBook Air (Apple Store locations only, subject to availability)
£40 for iPhone SE, iPhone 11, or iPhone XR
£80 for iPad Pro
£40 for iPad mini
£80 for HomePod
£40 for Apple TV 4K
£40 for ‌Apple TV‌ HD
£40 for Beats headphones or earphones
£20 for Apple Watch Series 3
£20 for AirPods Pro or AirPods (with or without Wireless Charging Case)
Thanks for this! Do you know how the gift cards are issued, physically or digitally?

I don't know what upsets me more, the fact that both 13" MacBook Pros only net a $50 gift card while the 16" MacBook Pro nets a $150 gift card, or the fact that the gift card pictured in the banner ad is not one of the options for a physical gift card. Probably the former. :p

What's the reason Apple never goes with calling it 'Black Friday', like everyone else, and instead goes for their '4 day shopping event'?
People have changed their shopping habits due to COVID. Many will shop online, other will reduce or completely avoid in-person shopping and others will not care one way or the other. But other retailers (Amazon, Target, Best Buy) this year have opted to have "Black Friday" like deals before Black Friday to reduce the angst for shoppers to try and find the best deals all on one day.

Wonder if we can order online today the 26th for pick-up the 27th-30th or if safer to assure I get the gift card tomorrow? I just fear they run out of stock? Buying Apple TV.

Adding no point as all the stores in my MD/DE area are showing no stock. Maybe intentionally?

Anyone know why the gift cards take up to 24hrs to be emailed instead of instant?

I purchased an iPad Pro as the event went live in Australia, for store pick up first thing in the morning, and hoping to be able to apply the gift card to a magic keyboard at the same time…

Apple didn’t have to do anything at all. They are giving customers gift card money for a purchase, as a way of saying thank you. And here you are complaining.

The entitlement mentality strikes again. Apple doesn’t owe you anything.
In comparison to the other deals. Your mother didn’t have give birth to you. Entitlement strikes again.

Your birth analogy makes no sense. My mother didn’t have to give birth to me but, she did and I am thankful. I didn’t have a say in being conceived or born. I advise you to stop with further personal replies of such a nature.

Demanding better gift card value when Apple didn’t have to give anything in the first place, is entitlement mentality.

Guys, is it possible to use 100$ gift card from Homepod purchase to deduct from future iPhone 12 purchase?

A promised update: Apple gave me two $100 gift cards for the HomePods I bought on 11/19. I chatted with them over iMessage on Friday. I’ll be buying two Minis most likely, though I won’t get them till 2021 now!

Hi folks. I'm strongly considering upgrading to an iPad Pro 2020 and am just working out the way to get the best price.

I see that the Ts & Cs state that the offer can't be used in combination with education pricing. I'm clear that this means you can't get the gift voucher if you buy from the education store. BUT if you buy from the normal store and get a gift voucher, can you then spend the voucher in the education store? Or would the voucher be invalid if I tried to spend it in there?

What’s stopping someone buying a product, getting the gift card and then returning the product? Would they still get to keep the gift card or does Apple cancel it?

I purchased a iPad mini on Black Friday and used Apple Pay to finance it over 12 months. I cannot figure out how the $50.00 gift card is being applied. The order detail shows total savings of $50.00. It also says a $50.00 gift will be e-mailed to me. Then, it lists the gift card with a payment plan of $4.16 per month for 12 months. How can they "give" me a $50.00 gift card, and then turn around and hit me for $4.16 a month to pay for that gift card. What am I missing here?
