may be it's only for developers of the first 9 markets? I'm from Italy and I have already 2 released apps for :apple: Watch but I didn't get the email

I've been developing ios apps for about 4 years and even submitted a watch app and I didn't get this email. Must be very random :/.

Right, but are you getting your pre-order on the 24th? It makes no sense for Apple to offer developers who will get their orders on time watches that arrive later.

They should sell it to Devs at a deep discount. If they can give away $10,000.00+ watches to rich people, it's the least they can do. Devs are the ones that are going to make the Apple Watch exciting to own/use.

This isn't a gift, it's a marketing expense. They could give you or me a $10,000 watch, and it would barely be noticed by anyone outside our circles. Give one to Beyoncé, and it makes news stories on multiple websites within and well outside of the tech press. As ads go, it's actually a pretty cheap one.

What if:

Apple says "limited supply" but in fact their is no limit at all..... they've been all giving to developers and Apple told other regular customers "Supply is limited" so pushed back till June,

"A guaranteed April 28 delivery means developers who make a purchase will receive the Apple Watch Sport one week from today" and I order one and won't receive it till June ??. or later

I don't buy it at all..

Its also a coincidence, that the 42mm is ok, yet the 38mm is not, even though its the same Sports watch.

Why would one they have plenty of the 42mm.. but not the 38 ?

This hints that the 42mm with the blue band was the least popular option. I do recall seeing that one available for 4/24-5/8 at 6am the morning of the preorders.

I went for a SG Sport with a quoted delivery of 4/24-5/8 in New England and have no updates. I feel so alone.

Just noticed in the small print of this email that you have to be opted in to marketing emails.

Wonder how many people have missed out due to opting out?

Just a guess, but I'm wondering if Apple selected dev accounts that were used to register for a WWDC ticket? I registered for WWDC and received the watch offer. My co-worker did not. Some are reporting that they have multiple dev accounts, and only one received the offer. Were those dev accounts used to apply to WWDC?...

I used (and won WWDC) from my work account, and got the watch offer on my personal. Who knows?!

When is Apple planning to send out emails?

Email said they'd update those who registered on the 23rd. That gives them an hour local time for me or 9 hours by their time. Hopefully by the time I wake up I'll have some news. Wonder if they'll inform those who aren't successful.

Well they bloody should!

Nothing here.

I got the email to my individual dev account. I'm admin on 2 others and a developer on a fourth. The 2 I'm admin on got no emails (to any member) but the agent of the one I'm a dev on did.

Curiously though, I'd ordered a sport with white band on the 17th with a shipping date of June. It was dispatched today.

Just got my email...

Got the same email here. I wonder if they haven't sold as many watches as they had hoped as this seems like a last minute thing. Coupled with people whos order was supposed to be delayed till june shipping it makes you wonder.

I just got the e-mail. Fortunately they give you until the 27th to order. I'm still hopeful I'll get mine tomorrow (that's based entirely on hope, no facts) so I'll wait and see.
