Some customers attempting to use the new Apple Fitness+ workout service on their Apple TVs have been encountering a "pairing canceled" error when attempting to connect, and Apple on Friday shared a solution.

It appears the issue occurs when an Apple TV hasn't been properly added to the Home app, with Apple instructing people to follow these steps to fix it:
  1. On Apple TV, go to Settings & AirPlay and HomeKit. You should see a red badge next to it.
  2. Choose Finish Home Set Up.
  3. Unlock your iPhone and hold it close to Apple TV.
  4. Follow the instructions on the Apple TV to add the Apple tV to the Home app.
Those who are having this issue but do not have a red badge or an option to add the Apple TV to the Home app should contact Apple Support.

Apple Watch owners using Fitness+ with the Apple TV have also been running into a problem that causes the Apple Watch to disconnect in the middle of a workout, but this appears to be a separate issue. It's not clear what's causing these disconnects, and there appears to be no reliable fix at this time.

Do we have workout reviews out yet? Am curious how these stack up against the other popular home workout videos, especially against insanity workouts

There are a few videos out (one from MR) but in my experience I feel like it is pretty good, although there needs to be better design regarding the design of HIIT because it isn't executed very well (e.g. cooldown still leaves me very very sore).

Shaun T is great and the Insanity plus T25 are very motivating. My wife uses them a lot.

We did look at the Apple Fitness one's yesterday and they looked pretty good. We didn't do the free trial yet (she got a new Apple watch for Christmas), but we'll probably do it next weekend. The bits you could see looked good though.

It would be cool if they brought Shaun T on board for Apple too.

You know, there's something a little cringe-worthy about utterly busting your nuts in some exercise routine when the folks on the screen facing you have big Hollywood cheesy smiles on their face and aren't even breaking a sweat...

I'm guessing that is how the Apple Watch pairs to the ATV. Probably done via HomeKit rather than a straight BT connection.
When I heard the reviewers say you have to bring the watch close to TV I thought it would sync via Bluetooth but you could be right.

Those are just pretty screen shots. By the end of the 30 minute videos I've done, they're sweating more than me.
