Apple Officially Splits iTunes for Windows Into Apple Music, TV, and Devices Apps

Nah this is legitimately the new staffers at Apple just making new stuff & pushing out the old without fixing iTunes & leaving it alone. I already tried to do this so called library transfer on Xmas 2023 since i have iTunes match and most people still do, if you also have apple music it will steal and convert your music to AAC matched with iTunes store or apple music so its not so called yours anymore, so i basically lost 83k tracks in just 1hr because of how dumb founded the programing is over there, over a simple problem that is just caused by creating a new program/algorithm when apple music is already in iTunes its self. They should be ashamed of their laziness because some of us have so called jobs and keep music on certain programs for safe keeping and other features like the custom EQ inside iTunes which I did not see in apple music preview in Dec 2023, add music top context menu at all period, not even a convert option so they are getting real sneaky with removing features we've had for 20+ yrs and it has to stop, so i doubt its fixed because this has been a issue ever since the apple music platform has started. They just love to ignore people. I love apple but its the small details that matters come on now. I never made account on here but i just had to since it got worse, been a iTunes match subscriber since the start they should be ashamed.
nah it does because when i was just testing it out it was using more ram than itunes because of how many background services were active in task manager on windows which is another mess but I've said my negativity for the day i hope it gets to the front lawn
I was impressed at first but realised Apple Music is not efficient at all. It was using about 2GB of RAM. For comparison, Spotify is only using ~320MB RAM.
I have a 16 core CPU and all my cores were lighting up when running it. If all I'm doing is running a browser and Apple Music then I shouldn't be using 16 cores lmao. With Spotify only my fastest cores are showing the most activity.
Went to check how much power my PC is using and my CPU was running at about 50C and using 50-60W. Again this is only running a browser and Apple Music. Spotify saw temps drop to ~38C and 40-50W.
Maybe that explains the constant stuttering and skipping when listening to music...
I don't know how many times I've gave Apple Music a shot. The Windows app seemed like a big step forward but if they want me to run it then it has to be way more efficient. I do 99% of my listening on my PC so it has to not suck a load off resources and power. It's honestly pathetic that Apple can't create a proper app to listen to music.
This app seems just a reskin of the ancient iTunes program so that would explain a lot. They need to create a brand new app "from the ground up" instead of relying on archaic software from the early 00's.
Cancelled the sub and will be staying with Spotify. You need to do better Apple cause this sucks.

I am definitely not trying to carry water for the Apple Music App on Windows. But I am not finding what you are finding. I will admit that I mostly use Apple Music on my iPad Pro connected to a bluetooth speaker system or my MBP. That said, I tend to game an hour or two on my laptop with a RTX 4060 and i7-13700HX. I listen to Apple Music while I do so. I get nowhere near that level of action.
I do download all of my considerable library so maybe that is it? Are you streaming it?

I‘ve been an iTunes Match user since pretty much day 1 as well. Its like either people like us don't matter anymore, or there’s so much turnover the developers don’t know how the old stuff works.
I hate listening to a classic 80’s punk album I’ve been listening to for close to 40 years, and Apple decides to replace a studio track with either a live or alternate version.
Mine is less than this and is using about 400 MB. I am pretty thrilled with the AM App so far, iTunes constantly locked up for me and used more resources. Plus lossless streaming now.
The COLUMN BROWSER is completely missing! Apple did this with the music app for MacOS originally as well.
