iPhone 11 Pro Apple Online Return Policy

Hey everyone

So I purchased the midnight green iPhone, but I'm not a big fan of the color. It is a great color, but I think I prefer silver over the green one. I have checked all the stores in my area that sells the iPhone and everyone is out of them. I went ahead and order a new iPhone from Apple, but the delivery date at the moment is Oct 15th.

Here is my problem though I do not have a spare phone so I can't really send my phone back just yet. I purchased my iPhone on the Verizon's installment plan through the Apple Store app because on the pre-order day my bank rejected my purchase because it thought it was fraud so I went ahead and bought it on the installment plan and I thought I would just pay it off once I received it. Now that I have decided I want to return it I went ahead and ordered the silver iPhone 11 pro max and paid full price. I received my midnight green iPhone on Oct 20th and on the Apple app it says I have until Oct 4th to start a return. Should I wait until Oct 4th to initiate my return? Once I click on the return button how many days will apple give me to return my iPhone? I really don't want to be without a phone for too long so I'm trying to see my options.

Maybe just return it and buy a cheap Android phone to keep and use while waiting ? Can always keep the android device for emergencies should you break your phone or lose it god forbid.



You could also just buy a used cheap iPhone

Always keep an old functional iPhone stashed in a drawer. Then you can just swap the SIM and carry on.

So if you initiate the return on 10/4/19, you have till 14 days from that date for the warehouse to receive it. So as long as the warehouse receives it by 10/18/19 then you are fine. Note that you can only do this online that gets you 28 days.

I've done this before and had no issues with the return. You just need to calculate how long it takes. From my location to the warehouse in Lebanon, TN, it takes 2 day.

Actually, once you initiate the return, you have 14 days to submit the return to the carrier (usually FedEx). I’ve done this a number of times for Apple products. On your order/return page, it’ll say “please return this by...” and that’s the last day that you have to get it into FedEx hands. I’ve called Apple several times to verify this when I’ve gotten down to the last day, and it’s never been a problem. Actually, I’ve missed the deadline a couple of times and called Apple, and they said no problem, but I don’t typically risk that.

I just ordered a brand new 11 pro max in silver to replace my midnight green (decided i don't like it). I did it online and can pick up the new silver one today at a local store. Then I initiate the return online and it was super simple. I have until the 20th to return the green, which gives me plenty of time to pick up the silver today and get it all set up. The return cancels my citizen loan and cancels the trade-in. They made it really easy.
