Same here. Very annoyed.

In the German Store every 42 mm model slipped to at least 4-6 weeks within minutes (or even seconds). Some (w leather) show no date at all (and cannot be preordered). Some show June (space black), some July (edition).

Supply must have been extremely low.

Canada orders started with 4-6weeks upon check out page... (despite 4/24 - 5/8 displayed before check out)

i'm guessing the black sports is in much more limited quantity. i tried to order that as soon as i got into the Store - shipping was 4-6 weeks. so instead i switched to the aluminium with a white band, expected delivery 24th April.

Good thing actually, cos i forgot i wanted to get the milanese loop band, which would look a bit wierd with the space grey case i'd originaly selected in my excitement

estimated shipping on the band is 2-4 weeks though - so either they're not planning on shipping any on the launch weekend, or the demand is also outstripping the supply

I ordered the Black Sport at exactly 2:01am CT 12:01am PT, and i got the 4-6 weeks, and i don't really think that'll be the case. I think the early ones will get it Day 1.

I say this cos when my cousin ordered his iPhone at 10am the morning after the preorders went live Apple said expect delivery from Oct-November, but he ended up getting it on Day 1, so maybe they're just buying themselves time.

Apple Chat just told me both size bands will be included with the sport.

Is it really too much to ask about including that little detail in the specs, after all the hoopla and the size guys about customers needing to measure their wrist carefully and specify the size at order time?!

And rather than April 24th ... it's second half of May because their website was down for an extra 10 and I couldn't find the option for s/m m/l in the app ... :(

Brilliant launch ... brilliant launch ... make all your enthusiastic customers stay up till past 3 AM ...

Couldn't do it just at 9PM EST, you know.

Canadian price after 13% tax... (42mm)

- Sports with rubber band: $586.47
- SS with rubber band: $880.27
- SS with SS linked band: $1467.87 :eek::eek:

first one seems more palatable for a first generation product... hmmm decisions. (Sports band is $77.97 if bought separately, SS Linked band is $676.87)

I keep trying to schedule a try-on appointment through the concierge link and it keeps timing out before it confirms my appointment. Gotta love it when Apple makes things so smooth....not!!!

It does actually state on the specs on the store that the Sport comes with two bands - one of each size.

keep trying and appointment may have went through check email. That happened to me.

Got my order in. Wife wanted a MacBook, no pickup options at all 5 of the closest stores and a ship to store date of 4/22. Extremely disappointing.

Also the earliest appt for the watch I could get is 1.5hrs after they open. I'm not even in a busy area.

Well my watch order went fine, and the processing email says the watch will be delivered between the 24th-5/8. I'm hoping 24th!

Also, I got a reservation for today at 3:45 at my local store! Yay!!!

I'm getting a pink sport model for my wife. She's a gym nut so it's perfect for her. I haven't worn a watch in 10 years and I don't feel like starting again now so I think this is one Apple product I'll be skipping. But at least I get to enjoy it vicariously through my wife. She's very excited.

I, too don't wear a watch!

However, I don't see this as a watch.

I see it as a new gadget, and I'm excited to be one of the first to experience it.

Just like I don't see my iPhone as a phone! I see it as a tool to allow me to do many, many things no matter where I am.

I was going to skip this, too. However, I got in at 8:01 (UK) and ordered a 42 Sport with white straps.

I hope your wife loves her new "gadget" and that you get some enjoyment out of it, too.

By the way, it was nice of you to treat her ;-)

Have a great day, buddy ...

Not in my case, at least so far, my Email confirmation shows 4/24 - 5/8

Maybe I'll click some stuff and look at it online, but I'm hoping it still ships quick. I ordered 2, and one is in June and one is 4/24 - fingers crossed for that.

Demand for the black Sport must be huge - UK store preview is already estimating June delivery! SO glad I got mine within the first minute.

I hear ya, but I wonder if they stick to these midnight releases to see how many of us geeks are willing to do the usual ritual - probably they can prognosticate on the sales data internally a bit and that's why they stick to the midnight thing? I dunno, I still find it a bit fun, but it would be tougher if I was on the East Coast that's for sure.

I tried a couple times, but each time it froze.

Then I just got an e-mail that my appointment was confirmed.

I'll print that out and show up at the store.

Ferrari's are worth their price though.

Their batteries will last longer than a day. ;)

Actually most of it is prestige, beautiful design + marketing. It's worth what you think it's worth. While someone else might buy a house for the price of a ferrari others love to spend their money on this beautiful car. Others might prefer something that suits them i.e. a mini van if they have to transport their children etc.

It's all about personal perspective here.

Lamborghini was created because the owner thought das Ferrari sucks in making sport cars btw.

A Ferrari tank holds around 100 Liters and if you push the pedal they need not less than 20L/100km. So if you drive 200km/h which is pretty average you can drive 2,5 hours.
