Got mine in through the iPad app. Safari still not working even :16 into the pre-order timeline. Pathetic from Apple really.

Ok so I finally got my order in. I was able to access the store from the app like 5 minutes before the website let me in, and in those 5 minutes I had already gotten a checkout error like 3 times on the app, so I said f*** it I'm going to not rush this and tried the website for a change.

Order went through on my first try at around 8:14 for Friday 13th delivery.

Finally.

256gb graphite ordered. Wow, that was actually easy for once.
Yes I also noticed that. 3 minutes it opened, had to do face recognition, then place order button and was done, less than minute after getting in. I wonder if having the 4 models split into two significantly spaced pre-order times split up the overload on the servers. Often here in Illinois (midwest US) it seems the servers take 5-10 minutes before I get in.

Wow in UK, 512 gig blue already gone to 18th November for delivery.

128 and 256 already the week after. Only checked blue colour.

that stinks. Still holding 13th in the states, 12pro times slipped within a few minutes. I wonder, less demand or higher production?

!@#!# iPad had the wrong mailing address. Even though it appears no where on my account that I can find, the iPad confirmed to wrong email and wrong address. Grrr.

Annoying that, in the UK, you go through half the upgrade process before it tells you that they "aren't taking reservations to buy the phone in-store right now". Surely, as there's a specific UK site, they could put something up on the front screen.

This is probably going to be the most expensive week in tech sales ever. You have Microsoft selling the new Xbox Series X|S consoles on Nov 10 (same day as Apples one last thing event), PlayStation 5 on Nov 12, and finally the iPhone 12 Mini and Max Pro on Nov 13.

Sales could eclipse a quarter to half a trillion dollars for the tech industry and it'll all happen in a span of four days.

The consoles are getting tough to find. I want one bad but it looks like I’ll have to wait until the hype settles down a bit and retailers start having more stock.

There’s also issues with the 12 Pro that is making shipping times slip well into December at this point, which will probably force my hand into settling for the regular iPhone 12.

All I know is, this is going to be a pretty expensive end of the year for some of us 😝

Just pre-ordered my iPhone 12 Mini directly through T-Mobile, my current carrier. They have an amazing promotion - $415 trade-in value for an iPhone 8!

Then we get posts like that. You must have magic internet.
I had the same experience, bought my phone in just a couple minutes but using the Apple Store app on my phone. I did have to click checkout about twenty times as the app reported the checkout process interrupted each time until it worked. After I submitted purchase I did check the web site only to see the Almost There page. It seems this time around the mobile app worked out way better.

Shockingly, the entire PS5 w 825GB SSD is retailing for cheaper than Apple charges to upgrade a MBP from 256GB to 1TB SSD!

Yes, please listen to him and don't order one today! Especially the black one is bad. ;)
According to information I have, the green one (mini) seems to be less prone to production issues.

...which is annoying as I cannot see the status of my almost-shipped Air4...
Great point. There's no need for them to take the ENTIRE website down - they could provide a special link for essential services like "track my orders, etc". Of course - we're all ASSUMING the changes to the website is cosmetic. It's entirely possible that to update their sales system to include new products and prices they HAVE to pull the entire thing offline, which means they can't track orders, etc.
