Apple Online Store down

Maybe they are finally going to add the rest of the updated cinema displays?

Maybe I'm just dreaming a bit too much...

the apple store is down world wide ! just for your info. apple.com seems to be working fine here in the uk tho !
 
I'm sure it's maintenance, but why during the day across the pond, and on a Sunday evening over here?
Wouldn't the online Store be used far more now, than, like over 12 hours time?
 
Apple network operations:
"Hey, why is it that every time we close the site down for maintainence, our traffic grows ten fold?"

"I dunno. Too much free time I guess."

That what I thought. It's during the day on a weekend when more people are going to be looking at the online store. Hmm... we'll soon find out. Better not get my hopes up. For all we know it could be more lovely UK price hikes.
 
If it were maintence wouldnt it say We're maintaining the store for you? NOt we're updating the store for you

No, it's the same page, regardless of an update, adding a few third-party products or just plain old maintenance.

You do know updated MBPs could be coming around WWDC (e.g. in about two or less months time)?
 
I'm really mad!

I have been putting money aside for like 2 years to buy a 17" MacBook pro, finnaly had enough on the day they released the unibody, so I thought I'd get it, got enough money for the top of the line fully loaded 17" last week, so today I pony up the cash click on apple.ca and the stores down. This better be something awesome cuz I want my MacBook!

I agree. Why would someone buy right now? Even though the updates aren't confirmed for June, the back to school program still is. I would wait until at least June to buy because of the back to school program and a possible update. There's really no reason to buy right now unless you absolutely need a laptop at this instant, and you probably wouldn't even be buying from an online store if that was the case.

Whats the betting it will be something really dull like. a new macbook carry case or something.....


I really hope its the imac price drops that were rumored last week.
