Anyone else find it hilarious that the company supposedly behind on AI is worth more than the World's AI chip leader? Apple should make the next Apple Silicon M chips faster than a NVIDIA 5090!

It would be nice if this article actually explained why Apple has increased so much? As an Apple Stock owner, it's been my best performing stock and it was up every day this week, including today when the rest of the market had a pullback.
History has shown that market trends don't behave rationally and therefore are not inherently predictable. I think it's anyone's guess why AAPL dropped to $275 per share less than two weeks ago and was up to $334 this week. The analysts simply come up with after-the-fact "explanations" as to what has already transpired.

As an investor, the best approach in regard to AAPL stock is a buy and hold strategy. Over the long run AAPL stock is likely to continue appreciating very well despite its frequent dips and peaks in short term value. My personal advice is to replace your Apple devices only as often as you really need to and instead use the cash to buy a bit of AAPL stock whenever you can. I'm so much better off financially after following this strategy for the past 14 years.

well well, but if I listen to most MR poster, Apple should be doomed ... cause Apple doesn't innovate, is late to the AI party and and and ... seems that Wall Street analysts and portfolio managers are not MR members 😱 😛
Taking a big swing at Apple every day of the year for 10-20 years must feel good and very empowering to many here.

Even if they were.

2025 Saudi Aramco earnings were $105 billion.

The best P/E an oil company has is Chevron, at 30-32.

At $3.36 trillion market cap, Saudi Aramco would be above Microsoft and Amazon, but bellow Apple, Nvidia and Alphabet (Google)
Oil companies don't trade at 30-32. That's likely bc CVX had some kind of charge. Its forward P/E is a more reasonable 12.

So no, Aramco isn't a $3.3T company in any normal world. People aren't buying oil companies on average at 30X earnings, especially not established ones like CVX.

Translated to super good bonus for the staff?. Yeaaah, suuuure…
Translated into free screen replacement for the 1st year?. Or into battery replacement after 3 years?.
The lifts come and go. Nobody's going to get a bonus in a corporation just because it's "#1" today in an ever-dynamic market.

Maybe you can make a Kalshi bet on it or something, but that's more evidence of deeper problems.

I never bought into the “Apple is behind in AI” noise. There’s been this sense that Apple needs to lead in everything, do everything for themselves, and vertically integrate the entire user experience. AI in the way people usually mean, by and large, is an app. Apple does a ton of AI under the hood, but that’s not what people mean. There is a ton of work and money going into improving AI, and Apple reaps all those benefits if they treat it as a buy rather than build decision.

Apple is doing well because they’re consistent and well managed. They’re doing well right now precisely because there’s so little drama.

The markets are starting to get the collywobbles about whether all that mad AI investment is actually going to show a ROI.

NVIDIA have gone all-in on making hardware for AI service providers. If the AI bubble does burst, they're toast.

Apple have largely stuck to making iPhones - devices that consumers will need to access AI services, but that consumers will still want for other reasons, should the AI bubble start to sag. They've kept the AI bubble at arm's length by licensing AI software/services from third parties.
