Elon’s comment had zero antisemitism to it and was 100% factually correct.

This is just another case of leftist lunatics canceling anything they disagree with.

And, to be even more precise, this is the left *pretending* they are outraged. The ads will return in short order after they’ve moved on to the next thing they are fake angry about.

That’s what people should actually be angry about. If you are going to take a stand and remove revenue, then said stand should last longer than a week. This is just a fake outrage then reverse course situation. Rinse and repeat.

That’s always been the risk with user generated content funded by advertising, the idea that your ads could be served next to content you find objectionable. Yet, the world has gone all in on user generated content and advertising.
And then there’s the content generated by the platform owner when he responds to the objectionable lies with comments like “you’re saying the real truth.”

Musk is out of control but I think this particular controversy represents the fact the Middle East bankrolled his Twitter acquisition (he didn’t have $45bn or whatever he spent liquid).
Absolutely. I mean look at his timing to criticise or question anything even remotely Israel related. Must have a pretty strong reason to step on that land mine.

There's a reason why Musk changed the name of the company from Twitter to X

I was laughing at your comment, sw1tcher, thinking you were on to something. But maybe it's a bit too farfetched.

I mean, it's not like Elon has ever stated that outright. The letter "x" is used in a lot of brand names and logos, etc.

But I just checked your link.

Even as someone who does know a good bit of history, this did not occur to me.

I knew there was some sort of very specific "theme" to most of what Elon has been putting out. Like there's something he really wants to shout but holds back. I just could never pinpoint what it all reminded me of.

But now it adds up.

Add to that the perpetual defending of white supremacists, done in an effort to not have the public "ascribing things to white supremacy if it is false." https://www.theverge.com/2023/5/16/23726310/elon-musk-defends-texas-shooter-bellingcat

He's concerned with how white supremacy is perceived.

-Do we need Elon to write it in bold letters and put it on a billboard?

Do you really think Apple cares? They only care about their bottom dollar line. If they are so filled with virtue they should look at China and the Uyghurs. But oh we don’t think that’s anything worthy over some X post that has implications. Apple sheeps are the most hypocritical and biased bunch ever.

I don't think I've ever been persuaded by an ad on Twitter, or anywhere in the internet for that matter.

I don’t think I have ever seen an ad on Twitter, but then again, my only interaction with the service was via the Tweetbot app. When it died, so did any incentive I had of continuing to use Twitter as my news feed and Mastodon it was.

This thread is rife with hate speech toward a guy who is accused of allowing/promoting "hate speech" by those that hate him. Ironic.

Sounds more like a pack of wolves and a few sheep deciding what is for dinner...
Ah, the “paradox of intolerance” canard.

The intolerant are not following the rules of the social contract of mutual tolerance.

Since they have broken the terms of the contract, they are no longer covered by the contract, and their intolerance should NOT be tolerated.

Ew, your entire recent post history is about calling out “anti-whiteness.”
What do you mean by that?

Are you a fan of the "Knockout Game"?

Did you enjoy watching that "Red SUV" run over all those White people in Wisconsin at their Christmas parade?

You’re missing out. The X app has a cool feature where if you refresh your timeline while listening to music, it automatically pauses your music to play sound effects which you have disabled.

I’ve reported accounts promoting violence and hate multiple times — no action taken; on the contrary, they now have the blue tick on Twitter / X.

Bravo, Apple! 👏
I remember when the exact same thing happened years ago, before Musk was even thinking about buying twitter. I even remember when some blue check threatened to kill the president and they were applauded by the twitter cesspool.

I think Twitter’s business model thrives on engagement and because emotionally enraged people can argue endlessly for days, they are the prime customers for Twitter. So Twitter won’t stop the hate flow unless its absolutely forced even then it may not survive for long.
