Ahhh. Thanks for your comment. I believe in the USA you pay by debit/credit card by signing a strange little form. In olden times we used to do the same. In Europe and other countries we just put our debit card into a electronic device and key in a 4digit number. Its quick, and easy. But Apple pay will be great for small amounts as probably like you I don't like contactless( I assume you have it) that we use for amounts under £20.
In the future apple pay may take over for large amounts as well.

I've seen a post on here where someone has used Apple Pay to purchase an Apple Watch in one of their UK stores.

Similarly I would be able to complete said purchase using the Apple Pay feature on the iOS app.

Boots are set to remove the £20/£30 ceiling from November of this year also.

i used apple pay on my watch to buy about £80 worth of accessories in the apple store a couple of weeks ago. glad I have a short email address (only 3 letters long) because getting the emailed receipt was already about 60% of the checkout process.

I've tried to add my card every morning, and this morning I saw that Lloyds have finally joined the revolution and I've been switched on overnight...! Used it so far to commute into work on the train, tube and bus. REALLY easy!

Credit card is on and working, but not my debit.
Getting...

'Could Not Add Card
Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information.'

Called Lloyds, and they are calling me back this afternoon...

Have added my Lloyds Debit card.
Thanks for the heads up, kmpowell!

Have had my credit card (with another provider) set up for a while but I don't like putting much on this. I'll now be able to use Pay on my Watch much more frequently. Good times.

There is a problem between MasterCard and Apple at the moment so some credit cards are not getting added. Apple will call when its fixed and at that point we can authenticate ourselves without calling Lloyds. Source: Me - apple are calling this afternoon.

added Lloyds debit card- thank you kmpowell & OP

Is it now £30.00 max?

I paid £100 last night at Apple Store, but £30.00 everywhere else? Just don't want to be embarrassed!.
