Apple Pay Does Not Work at the Lego Store even though they have NFC

I had a transaction through Apple Pay declined at the Apple Store. Used a different card (still through Apple Pay) and it worked.

Then used the card at another store and had no issues. Used it with Apple Pay later that evening with no issues.

Did get a call from the bank verifying everything was ok as they got alerted to a declined transaction.

Seems like there are still some kinks to work out.

Otherwise, I've used it without problems at Mcdonalds, Subway, Petco, Macy's and Apple Store.

Old thread I know, but now that they are an Apple Pay supporter, can anyone confirm if it is now working? Also, has anyone tried it at the La Brea Tar Pits gift shop recently? I was there in November and they had the MX925's with the external Contactless antenna, but it was turned off.

That sounds like a (temporary) communication issue between that store's credit card processor and that bank. Probably would have happened with the physical card as well.
