Apple pay has only launched in English speaking countries so far.. racism
Are you serious? You apparently do not know what the word means.

I think, and I could be wrong, he was referencing Apple purchasing the underlying tech for the MST. According to the link you provided, it seems the breach was corporate. Fairly, they could be lying. Either way, the thrust of his comment was referencing Apple having the ability to reach customer through retailers regardless of updated POS systems. With the security breach...I don't know.

Exactly, I want it to start working in more places HERE!
This weekend I went to 6 places running errands/eat and not one of them took Apple Pay.
Lowes, HomeDepot, Jersey Mikes (sub shop), Fry's (grocery owned by Kroger), Target and SAMs Club.
As I mentioned on another thread, it is so I don't even look to try anymore as too many places it doesn't work and then I look silly and have to pull out my card anyway.
how many of those merchants dont have NFC-compatible POSTs? you cant blame apple for legacy hardware, durr.Exactly, I want it to start working in more places HERE!

have had no problems w/ the readers reading my iphones or watch. My experience with Apple Pay is mainly due to the high failure rate of NFC readers. Even with my Tap Debit Card it doesn't work half the time and ends up holding up the line/taking longer messing around using an alternate pay method.
You can't blame Apple for the retailers actions. All of the ones you mention are dragging their toes at adopting contactless payments of any type. My local Target just started to take chip cards after deploying chip card terminals a year ago. There are many that are deploying new terminals but haven't finished the work yet. Others, like WalMart & Sam's Club didn't want Apple Pay to work in the first place.
Apple pays is not going well. Not in HomeDepot, Lowes, Walmart, Kroger, Target, Publix, QuickTrip, RaceTrac, ... Apple should have purchased LoopPay instead of spending hundreds of billions of dollars to buy and burn stocks. It was only $250 millions.

AP isnt going badly, thats nonsense.
I don't really care who is to blame... End result is that if it doesn't work where and when people want to use it then people stop trying to even use it. So to me Apple Pay has been a huge disappointment.
Who knows...but I understand what you're saying. If that's the case..i guess loop would be good. First time hearing about loop company.I think, and I could be wrong, he was referencing Apple purchasing the underlying tech for the MST. It kind of sounded iffy at first...but yeah...They only hacked into the company network, not Loop Pay itself.
Is there a reason why I can't use my US debit card with Apple Pay at a terminal in a different country that doesn't currently accept Apple Pay if that terminal accepts NFC payment like most terminals in basically the rest of the world?
It has worked fine everywhere I've tried it, one thing I notice is in some places you have to pretty well touch the terminal. I was at a MacDonalds here on the weekend and they told me they didn't take Amex. It was busy so I didn't argue but I'm sure they do. They only reason I have Amex is to try out Apple Pay, may ditch it if Interac adopts Apple Pay.My first apple Pay opportunity at McDonalds didn't work...I have a feeling its because Amex tap NFC is the most 50/50

I'd love to use Apple Pay but my iPhone 5S is perfectly adequate and I don't want to upgrade.
I'm in the UK and have been using Apple Pay since I got my iPhone 6s, and I love it! Just makes payments so much easier imo. Glad to hear it'll be reaching more countries, albeit slowly.
Apple Pay is great, Apple just have to get the problems in different countries sorted. Here in the UK it is widely accepted (I am confident to say it has the BEST coverage in the UK), but at the same time 99.9% of retailers have the 30GBP limit. In the US it seems it is a lack of retailers accepting it, in other countries it is only available to Amex users. And in Germany there is still no sign of it, a market that Apple keeps forgetting. Germany is a main player in Europe, but Apple seems to forget about it all the time.
I think Germany is like Canada, the problem is the bank cartel's hold on store payments; in Canada it's the Interac alliance. If they get on board, Apple pay suddenly comes everywhere.
