It's definitely new for users that just singed up to their service (I singed up like a week ago and just got the mail). Which would make the theory that something happened and AP was supposed to be released earlier plausible.

got it aswell on November 22nd after having registered for the notification on November 19th ... not today so far

Today I received no email. I was already signed up for the SMS notification service before Nov 22.
Same for me. VISA has been registered since October. Got one email in mid November, not today.

Too bad they cite one of the worst sources: a macerkopf article with tons of spelling mistakes.

Most likely. You can't sign up for the VISA SMS information service when you don't have a comdirect VISA card.

I don’t feel the hype this time so it’ll probably really launch tomorrow if that’s what Apple wanted to achieve with this very late Apple Pay launch well done I can only say I somehow really don’t care if it launches now or not. 😕

I remember Aral and Ditsch have been on the page before. What I am wondering about is that my Aral station has an old terminal that does not accept any contactless payment method. How should that work with Apple Pay?
Edit: When I am thinking about it, I know several stations from Aral around Bochum/Dortmund/Witten having that old terminal.
Me too, as I always pay my bretzels with ApplePay at Ditsch.
Thats why I looked into the list when it first was published and they were on
Same with Backwerk. In my city i have two of them neither one of them does accept cards cash only. 🙄 I think if they are a partner they should support 100 % not only at some locations.
