Don't really understand the negative comments. McDonald's isn't my cup of tea but it's hugely popular. This is something that advances people using Apple Pay, which I would ideally love to use everywhere.

Pass. However, Today is my one year anniversary for my bodybuilding career. (252 sessions in), although McD’s fries are decent, I’d rather have the protein shake Or a healthier protein-style option at home.

I thought for a second you meant you had only been lifting for 252 sessions. I remember your other avatars and was o_O.

As in, 252 training days/sessions out of the whole year from when I started July 2018 into July 2019. I start the cycle over when I get back from vacation.

Lol, I know. My brain initially read it as you were a new lifter and I remembered you're huge!

I wish my McDonald’s would get a better way for Apple Pay at the drive thru window. Now they have to hand the card terminal out the window and it usually doesn’t work. But maybe that’s the diet gods reminding me that I shouldn’t be eating it.

Or you know the diet gods telling you that if you're going to eat at McDonalds at least park your car and walk to the register inside. :p

I’m a workout/yoga nut but who balances healthy and junk (sometimes will have a salad and beer to balance for example), and even though I’ve had a couple items from McDs this year, last week was the first time I had a Big Mac in at least 6 years. Usually if I want fast food burger, I want better quality

Why offer this in the app but not at the register?

There's no easy way for a merchant to determine that you're using Apple Pay as opposed to, say, Google Pay or a contactless card via NFC. At least with the app they can include the necessary logic in the iOS version and not the Android version.

So, got to get their app. Then give them a working email address (no dummy addresses). Just to get their crap fries?
o_O

Pretty standard for ordering food from an app. Every app I order food from emails you a receipt.

get free medium fries with a minimum $1 purchase before taxes, excluding any dollar menu items.

Seems like this means it's actually a minimum of a $2 purchase, if the $1 purchase can't be made using dollar menu items...

Doesn't seem like a good deal to me. Fast food is always buy-two-get-one-free... buy a sandwich and a side or drink, and get a side or drink for free.

You could buy just a $1 drink.
