Agree 100%. Streaming is not a good deal for most artists.
Prob won't be a popular opinion but IMO, streaming is underpriced by several dollars. I have access to a library (granted I don't "own" it) of millions of songs from artists and records I never would have purchased or, if I did, would cost me significantly more.

I personally love the streaming model, but would like for artists to get more.

$163 millions from a Trillion Dollars company vs $157 millions from a $30 billion company makes lots of difference. For me Spotify & Amazon Music provides perfect collections. Apple Music has very very limited numbers in the genres that I listen to. Still Spotify & Amazon can improve their collections. Besides, my Apple Music purchases keep disappearing from my collection.
I hate when an album you listen to disappears suddenly. Very aggravating.

still AM is in the ecosystem so it works well with my phone and homepods

Most the musicians I know live at or below the federal poverty line
The one musician I’ve met a few times. Is a millionaire many times over.

My neighbor grew up with him. known him since childhood. He shows up occasionally for a visit. Nice guy too. Love those 80 metal bands

These payouts are since 2019 right? They have to be, because if they've paid around 160 million since they started streaming services that would be hilariously low.

even separately, it would still be allot.. If only half went to artists and songwriters, while 90% of it went to publishers, that's not that bad either.
