Wow, it looks like that's it. I guess we shouldn't expect much if Jobs isn't doing the presentation himself.

right now there is an "On-going demonstration about how metadata is stored even when some media is offline"

Demo of Aperature

Hey guys, is there any place to get a demo of aperature?

I have a beta version of lightbox, and I was wanting to check out aperature.

iLife integration-now that's a smart idea:attracts pro users to use iLife. And I like how you can work with the Aperture library through iLife now, and the new metadata options.

Lightroom is emerging as a major player

Personally I much prefer Lightroom. There's way too much wrong with RAW workflow in Aperture.

I would agree we've been using both tools here at work and Lightroom is winning us over here on OSX..of course..)....I'm dissapointed no MPB....
im' almost 90% going to get a core2 duo PC..sorry Apple you've delayed the MBP update wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to long...plus you need to put alot more higher end cards in the MBP if you want to win over Power CAD....and 3D users....why have an media event like this just to release Aperature 1.5....pointless...(shakes head)

TRUE.

but maybe new mbp tomorrow :)

*sigh* that's what we've all been saying for the past MONTH..

I agree with the previous post of huge dissapointment. And from all the bad things I've heard about aperture and raw handling, I hope Lightroom blows it clean out of the water.

This sucks.

Can't believe aperture doesn't support more RAW types yet.

Until it supports more/all of the raw types, it will never be a real 'pro' application imho

No MBP = Sadness

My friend keeps taunting me with his Core 2 Duo based HP notbook. Even "Xtreme Notebooks" has a Core 2 Duo model.

This sucks.

Aperture only uses the RAW formats that OS X uses. When 1.4.8 comes out it will support more.

All Apple software and hardware can be demoed for free at any Apple store. I have brought in cameras, printers, monitors, etc... and was allowed to test them and demo them before I purchased. It's an amazing place go visit sometime.

Which cameras in particular. It already supports all the serious Pro cameras if you ignore the very recently announced Canon and Nikon amature DSLRs.

I'm using it for my JPEG stuff but I do wish it would support the RAW files from my Fuji S3 :(

Your friend sounds like a dork. "OOOH, my HP has a Core 2 Duo! I AM SO l33t!"

Give me a break.

My brother is a photographer, and has a medium format mumiya camera with digital back

It supports his SLRS, but not his mumiya

So, he can't really use aperture.
