What is Apple aiming for here? Exclusive content you can only buy or rent via the iTunes Store to push AppleTV sales or bundling exclusive video content with Apple Music to entice potential subscribers with content you can only get with an Apple Music subscription or are they looking to produce enough original premium video content to launch a video streaming service like HBO Now?

This was a fantastic novel. Much of the action takes place in a slum in Mumbai. When I traveled to Mumbai in 2011, I wandered in that slum and it was clear the residents know of the book - one of them called me out, saying, "Shantaram?" I hope Apple does a bang-up job with it!

An Indian coworker recommended this book to me, and I really enjoyed it. Should be fun to see it on the screen.

I’ve had this book on my ‘To Read’ stack for so long!
Think I’ll start reading it soon so I can picture the characters before they’re depicted in televisual form.

This is great - so far I’m interested in nearly every show Apple are said to be readying.

I guarantee this is one of those books that will never be better in any other format. Don't be put off by the size when you pick it up, push a quarter of the way though and you won't regret it.

I wonder where these shows are going to appear? Will it be a new app? Or in the Apple TV app? Will it be a part of our Apple Music subscription or a additional cost? And when....???!

Haha so many questions :eek:o_O

I don't think anybody at Apple knows either. They just seem to be acquiring content but don't seem to have bothered creating a platform for it yet.

I really couldn’t care less about Apple’s plans for new TV shows. I’d rather they focussed their efforts on developing new Macs instead.

T. Cook once again focusing on anything but innovation.

More Tim Crook trying to break into the Asian markets. Hopefully they're smart enough to see the real reason he's focusing so vigilantly on them, if he doesn't get those markets in a few years he'll be toast. The backlash of people in America towards Apple products is getting so high it's seeping into every crevice of the Internet. Diehard Apple supporters on YouTube have been voicing their disgust at the lack of quality control. This guys days are numbered unless he pulls a hat trick... I've needed a new Mac for years, but I refuse to buy anything in the Crook era. He's always "doubling down" on skimping when it comes to quality materials to build products. I've been slowly researching hackintoshes, although I hate the idea of having to go through the build process.

Lack of knowledge is your enemy.

If no one cares about it, no one will watch and they will lose money.

Or, you could read the other posting and see that, yes. People do care about it. Most people learn at a young age, just because you don't care about something; does not mean others will not.

Ok thanks
