In the opening video, Apple had a sloppy typo. They had the plural of no as no's. It should be noes. How did anyone let that slip by in the opening seconds of a major presentation?

All but the references to skeuomorphism in an obvious attempt to ridicule Forstall. I thought it was just poor and uncalled for.

I didn't take it that way at all. I took it as a jab at what many people saw as a poor design choice, regardless of who came up with the idea.

Pretty much universal disapointment across the board.

The minor updates to OSX are the best news, but the name 'Maverick' is terrible.

The Air spec-bump is OK, but 512GB is only just enough space and pushes the price way up. A slight redesign would have been nice, why not give the screen black borders to bring it in line with the rest of the range.

If the Mac Pro had a harder edge to the cylinder, a brushed AL finish, and the vents were hidden, it would have been OK. As it stands, the old design is far more attractive. This looks like something Microsoft might make.

All the other Macs are now totally out of date and will be until when... autumn / fall? They should have waited until more of them were ready.

iOS7 seems to be what happens when Windows phone, Android, and a rainbow gradient fairy, have an orgy. Those icons. What the hell were they thinking. Please Apple fix these at least before it comes out of Beta.

Some of the functionality is good, but the semitransparent effect is just pointless and makes stuff hard to read for no reason, an option to turn it off would be nice.

The worst thing is they were so close to greatness in so many ways, but fell short on all of them.

Craig was awesome

He was a great presenter and seemed like good successor to Steve Jobs. It was the same kind of energy - passion about Apple and new technology. He was also pretty funny. I liked the "Hair Supply" screen name and the way he had fun with the audience.

The difference is that it seemed more fun. Like when the race car demo went bad, things didn't get chucked across the stage in a rage. Instead, everyone just hanged on until the guys got it right.

I've been wondering what to do about Apple development lately. I've been wondering if I should just try to do my own thing. But Apple, they've built something pretty amazing. I'm seriously wondering if I should return to creating books/apps/games on iTunes. Probably not, but it was fun to get excited about Apple products again.

What I'm most impressed with is Apple getting back to what I think is the soul of the company: simplicity, ease of use, minimalism. It felt like every executive presenting was on the same page and really, really passionate -- more-so than I've ever seen since Jobs passed.

I may not like every single thing, but their heart as a company is in the right place.

Great ad.

I'm sorry but iOS7 is a joke. Great Ad nonetheless

What don't you like about it?

Google won a battle that has no prize. They make more money from iOS users than Android users. I'm pretty sure the company who truly had their eye on the prize (and not on some frivolous market share world domination), would have continued the partnership and approach Google had with Apple back in 2007. If Google makes 3x mobile revenue from iOS users NOW, imagine how it could have been if Google was much more deeply ingrained into the OS.

So all in all, I'd say Google won a fools battle. Apples still got their eye on the prize, and so far seems to winning the battle that truly counts.

Fair Point! Apple do much better job of attracting richer customers and of getting them to pay for services down the line

Craig did a really great job presenting the new software.

Well said, and pretty much exactly what I was going to say. It's back to design as the center-piece of making Apple's products the winning products, rather than endless lawsuits to try to repress competition.

Here is a tip for any accessory developers: Make a iPad stand that you can use while laying in Bed to hold up your iPad.

Try the Moshi iGlaze cover, works perfect for me on my bed and basically anywhere. Not payed by them, I just really love the product

It's "Mavericks" with an "s" as in Mavericks beach in California. (Names after a dog that was with a group of surfers that surfed there, its a very tough place to surf just South West of San Francisco).

The fact that you had to correct me shows how bad a name it is.
