I think Apple delivered, defying all nay-sayers. iOS7, OSX Mavericks (not sure on the name, I think fish would have been better) and the new MacBook Air and Mac Pro are all impressive. The latter two have changed my shopping plans for the year!

Kudos to Apple!!!

I have been a Mac User since 1989. This has to be one of the best WWDC rollouts I have seen in a LONG time.

Tell those Wallstreet analysts to stick with Android and Windows...they deserve each other!!!

Can't wait for Apple to start getting copied (and sued) again by all the "faux innovators".

I didn't take it that way at all. I took it as a jab at what many people saw as a poor design choice, regardless of who came up with the idea.

I do not agree. This entire debate about skeuomorphism centred on the design choices of a few individuals at Apple, most notably Forstall. The fact that Federighi now triumphantly introduces new looks for all these apps after he was put into the position to change it, speaks for itself. I think it would have been better for Apple simply to introduce it silently, the change was obvious to many anyway, there was no need to trample on it. Discrediting prior design choices so openly is simply not elegant, especially when the change itself is only minor.

Blablablabla end of this year...blablablalabla next year....blablablabla macbookair no retina display...blablablablabla no new iphone....blablablabla no new ipad blablablabla thanks for coming bye bye......

WHAT was the purpose of this keynote??????????

Oh come on, you must be joking....

Fair Point! Apple do much better job of attracting richer customers and of getting them to pay for services down the line

In case anyone is wondering whether this guy has any relationship to the truth, rest assured this is more troll speak, as you probably already guessed. Here's how my switch to Android has been so 'cost effective' thus far:

Phone (on contract) : $199 (same as iPhone)
Swipe keyboard to get decent text prediction: $5
Decent synchronization software: $40 (The missing Sync- not yet purchased)
Decent backup software: $30 (not yet purchased)
Launcher that supports badges so you're not constantly looking for the source of alerts: not yet found
Universal spell checking (even though it's supposed to be part of Jellybean) : not yet researched

Everything is piecemeal. The hardware is phenomenal, but Android feels like a toy for girlfriend - free, 14 year old boys. I love the big screen and am keeping it until at least iPhone 6, but don't let anyone tell you it's cheaper.

Google it, Apple have been making loads more money out of their customers than Android, I don't mean that in a pejorative way not sure if this is due to who they sell too , control of costs in the supply chain, better shopping experience in iTunes vs Play. It is more about the spending pattern following purchase rather than the headline profit on the device, This I understand is also true of Google's Adsense revenue, which is still better for Google from IOS devices by some margin, (although i can only have anecdotal evidence)

I have a Galaxy note and for now its a keeper, At the time of purchase I couldn't do a better deal on an up to date iPhone, which is what I had before, I am addicted to the big screen, like the hackability which while more suitable for a "girlfreind-free 14 year old Boy" works Ok for me as well, not as nice to use as IOS though.

Ive's felt reaction

I don't know about everyone else, but this was one of my top two favorite moments from the keynote yesterday
